I love the Ishin on Charlottenstraße. It has long been a favourite of mine. Out of moderately priced sushi establishments, it has to be one of the best, not only in Berlin but in the whole of Europe! Oh, how I wish Mr. Ishin would open a branch in London too!!!
Really disappointed with this Ishin location—it’s nothing like the quality at Bundesallee or Friedrichstraße. The negitoro don was especially concerning: instead of fresh tuna belly, it was unfresh, and it honestly made me feel unwell after eating it. The sake maki didn’t look any better—poorly cut, uneven, and messy, as if it had just been torn apart. Never to this branch again
Food is very fresh, delicious and prices are good. However, depending on the time of your visit you might need to wait as there’s just 1 waiter 🥲 if it’s a big group (more than 3people) I’d recommend less busy times
The best place in Berlin if you’re looking for affordable sushi, especially during happy hour when there’s a discount for combo sushi.
The sushi is fresh, the menu has plenty of options, and it tastes good. The service is fast. The restaurant’s interior is so-so and feels busy since it’s always crowded whenever I visit. Expect a long queue if you come during lunchtime.
