Food is very fresh, delicious and prices are good. However, depending on the time of your visit you might need to wait as there’s just 1 waiter 🥲 if it’s a big group (more than 3people) I’d recommend less busy times

Fantastic whether the food, the quality ,the value for money will have to visit again whenever I'm in Berlin.

Not sure whether a slow day or generally lower energy, but was not really amazed. The interaction with staff was rigid and perhaps only one younger lady was bit more interested in us. We asked for English menu, but it was never followed up. The rest of the time - absolute silence and staff sitting on their phones at the central table. When food came the order was little random. One soup well ahead and the rest just in good time later. Including edamame what i would have expected as starter. Flavors were passable but no thrills. Without soy definitely just bland. Loooots of rice. Bathroom area- low standards and having some washing clothes drying on a rack in public space not too pretty neither. Unfortunately compares as one of worst experiences and won’t return.

Humble establishment with affordable prices and really great sushi (in my opinion). Huge variety to choose from, including different types of fish, not just tuna, salmon and shrimp. The rice under nigiri is perfect in my opinion. The staff is very friendly, smile at you and provide a complimentary warm matcha tea for every table.

While walking through Berlin on a guided tour, we stopped here for lunch — and it turned out to be a truly wonderful surprise. The food was absolutely delicious. Each dish was beautifully prepared, fresh, and comforting, especially the warm rice bowls served in bamboo steamers. But what touched us most was the complimentary hot green tea. On a cold winter day in Berlin, that warm cup felt like a quiet hug — it warmed not only our hands, but our hearts as well. This place became more than just a restaurant on our route. It became a small moment of rest, warmth, and gratitude during our journey. If you are walking through Berlin and need a place to pause, Ishin is the perfect place to stop.
