La Butte Chaumont is a supermarket, not a restaurant, located in the Montmartre district of Paris. It is famously known as the grocery store featured in the iconic French film 'Amélie'. It offers a wide selection of everyday goods and fresh produce, serving as a convenient local shop.
Customer feedback is mixed. Many patrons appreciate its convenient location in Montmartre, long operating hours, and good selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. Some reviews highlight friendly owners. However, there are also reports of negative experiences with staff, particularly regarding issues with currency exchange.
The supermarket's strong connection to the beloved 2001 French film 'Amélie' (Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain) makes it a popular stop for tourists and movie enthusiasts visiting Montmartre.
As a grocery store, it is generally accessible during its operating hours. There are no specific 'best times' for a dining experience.
