Martha’S Redondo

So happy to see Martha’s open up a new spot right in the Riviera. Just like their original Hermosa Beach location, this place is already buzzing. It was completely packed even on a Monday morning, which tells you everything you need to know. We stopped by for breakfast and ordered their famous Eggs Benedict along with the breakfast burrito. Both completely lived up to the hype, super fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. Despite the crowd, the service was fast, friendly, and on point. The outdoor patio setup delivers the ultimate relaxed beach vibe. Absolutely love having this in the neighborhood now. We will definitely be coming back often!

When searching brunch spots in the South Bay, Martha’s Hermosa comes up time and time again, so I was very excited to see them open a new location in Redondos Riviera Village. There is ample outdoor seating and a variety of menu options. I had the Chorizo Sweet Potato Hash which was tasty (and not too spicy) while my husband had the Bacon Burger which came with sides. Service seemed to working out new staffing kinks, so they were a bit slow and unattentive at times but all very nice. Will definitely add Martha’s to our rotation of places to eat in the Riv.

Very disappointing experience. This was our first time at this restaurant. We chose to sit at the bar because at most restaurants that's were you get excellent service. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different. There were two bartenders working, but neither seemed particularly interested in acknowledging us. They were busy stocking the bar in preparation for the expected crowd, which I understand, but there’s no reason customers should have to wait so long just to be greeted. When we finally received our classic margaritas, they were anything but memorable—just okay. Then came dinner. We waited an unreasonable amount of time before anyone came back to take our order. I ordered the Tagliatelle al Limone with chicken, described on the menu as pasta with lemon sauce, Parmesan, and asparagus. What arrived was extremely disappointing. There was no noticeable sauce, no lemon flavor, no Parmesan, and only one small piece of asparagus—and it was just the stalk, without even the tip. At that point, I had to wonder how a dish could be served so differently from how it was described on the menu. My sister ordered the rib pot pie, which was considerably better than my meal, but even that was only average. I was halfway through my dinner before I finally managed to get the attention of one of the bartenders to ask for Parmesan. Meanwhile, the bartenders spent a significant amount of time at the other end of the bar talking with each other rather than paying attention to their customers. We eventually ordered a second drink, but by then we had made our decision: this will be our last visit. It’s one thing to have an off night, but this experience had problems with both the service and the food. If you’re going to describe a dish as being served with lemon, asparagus, and Parmesan, those ingredients should actually be present—and the dish should taste like what you’re advertising. Restaurants don’t stay in business by taking their customers for granted. Management needs to take a serious look at the level of service being provided and whether the kitchen is consistently delivering what’s promised on the menu. Sadly, we will not be returning, and based on this experience, we cannot recommend this restaurant to our friends or family. Very disappointed. 😞

Loved the atmosphere/area of the place. Food was amazing, me and my friends emptied our plates! Had Peter as my server and he was amazing! Made very good suggestions and is an excellent maker of the coffee drinks there. Definitely recommended the Banana Bread Latte!!
