Overdue review. I came here with my family during the YYC Exp event. There were a few misses, but overall, we had a good dinner. I would rate them 3.5 stars.
I started with the lobster fritters, which were, unfortunately, mostly batter. They were also fried on the darker side and came with an aioli that had a bit of heat to it. Our mains was the pork belly and scallops, which we all found to be on the smaller side. The pork belly was cooked tender and the sauce paired well with it. Unfortunately, some of the scallops and sunchoke pieces were burnt. Considering the small portion size, this left us with even less food to enjoy. Dessert was good. The lemon bar had a nice flavour profile and was a nice eay to end the meal.
Service was ok. Our waiter checked on us a couple of times but none of the staff were too attentive, meaning you had to flag someone down. Parking can also be a bit difficult and you will likely have to walk a few blocks.
It was my first time going here, and it is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever seen. The food (I got the Braised Short Rib and my husband got the 14oz Ribeye) was absolutely phenomenal, definitely exceeded all my expectations going in. I can honestly say it is some of the best food I have ever tasted. And the waitress, I truly wish I remembered her name because she made the entire experience even more enjoyable. She was so kind and personal, I really enjoyed her service especially considering it was Valentine's Day, she was so composed and it was a joy being served by her.
Beautiful restaurant. We went this weekend for the first time to celebrate our engagement! Upon being welcomed to leaving the building the team was phenomenal. Coat check is a nice option during the colder months (especially those -20 days). The surprise glass of bubbly for each us was so thoughtful and truly appreciated.
We started wi to the crab cakes. The coating was so crisp and flavourful.
I’m on a mission to find the best espresso martini in town (and globally) and this one is near the top for sure. Just a classically sweet martini!
Our mains were the ricotta gnocchi and a 12oz steak.
The gnocchi was full of flavour. I’m a big pistachio fan so this just blew my mind.
We added the truffle butter to our steak and wow they were not shy with the amount provided.
I know I’m late but this place is definitely worth checking out. They are closing at the end of April 2026 so make sure you get there in the next few months !
Thank you to everyone who made our celebration just a bit more special :)
What a beautiful restaurant! You feel like you're in a quaint courtyard - there is a huge skylight and lovely brick walls. The food was out of this world. Highly recommend the gnocchi and chicken ballotine. The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They recommended the garlic shrimp to start and it sounded too good to pass on (it was sensational)! New favorite spot for a nice dinner out 😊
My review is mixed as I have been a few times. Atmosphere is lovely with the stone walls and seating variations. Don't go late during the week. We went Thurs at 9 and they rushed us through everything interrupting us constantly. This was supposed to be a romantic dinner. Calamari and short ribs tasty but they served my duck cold. We told them and it wasn't remade or taken off bill. Gave us a dessert in lieu and they pushed us out just after 10 as they clearly wanted to close. Our server was lovely but management needs to be client focused and not thinking about clocking out as soon as they can.
