I was told this place and food was good. I didn't enjoy the rasta pasta because it was too sweet and the fried fish was hard. My experience wasn't a good one. Don't get me wrong the food looked good but I should stuck to my jerk chicken, Peas n rice with cabbage. I didn't enjoy my food so I won't be going back sorry. I understand it's a take out or I guess you can a sit in but when ordering your food you must be quick. If you don't know what you want then take time because if not when it's your time to order...the server can huff and puff being indecisive. I'm just saying. I'LL PASS THANK YOU VERY.
The food was disgusting and completely ruined my appetite. I ordered the Rasta pasta with curry goat. The pasta wasn’t even cooked all the way and was served cold. While the curry goat had decent flavor, it was extremely greasy—more grease than I’ve ever seen in a dish like this.
For the quality of the food, paying $20.14 was a complete waste of money. I’ve had the same meal at other restaurants for a better price and with much better quality.
I would not recommend spending your money here. If you’re looking for good Caribbean food, go to Island Grill one block down instead—it’s cheaper and far better. This was my first and last time eating here. Never again.
The best Jamaican food in all of NY! Jerk Chicken is chef’s kiss! And if you know Jamaican restaurants then you know customer service is a hit or miss, at Jerk House the customer service is Top Tier! Gorgeous, lovely ladies serving serving delicious food & beautiful smiles
I was randomly craving some jerk chicken so got some chicken only. Also got a jerk wing meal as they didn't have any extra jerk chicken to make into meal. The jerk wings had a little sweetness in it definitely not something expected in anything jerk. Overall it was just okay. I did like that it came with a extra jerk sauce which made the meal had a little spice
Edit to owners response:
Yes I do hold places to a high standard. When I make my reviews one question I ask is would I go back there and was there anything that I really liked. This determine how highly I rate a place. It may not look like I give places high rating lol but you do have to do some strolling as I have alot of reviews. Thank you for taking constructive criticism, I appreciate that because not every one can.
