Ouzeri

Ouzeri was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Santorini. This family owned restaurant delivers everything you hope to find when dining in Greece amazing food, genuine hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like part of the family. The customer service was exceptional from the moment we arrived. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and truly passionate about making sure guests had a memorable experience. The food was outstanding. The lamb was cooked to perfection tender, flavorful, and expertly prepared. And the homemade baklava served with ice cream was simply incredible. We have eaten a lot of baklava over the years, and this was hands down the best we’ve ever had. It was the perfect ending to an amazing meal. There are plenty of restaurants in Santorini that charge much higher prices, but Ouzeri is the perfect hidden gem. The quality of the food, the family atmosphere, and the outstanding service make it an incredible value and a must-visit while on the island. We would return without hesitation.

My friend and I decided to come here for lunch after passing a few spots in the area. It didn't seem busy and it looked like there was an extensive menu so something to please even fussy eaters. No booking required. There was a board with specials as well to choose from. For my drink I ordered an Earl Grey tea. It was a bit windy as the area is elevated anyway and once in the shade you could feel the breeze. Not so much of a view as there's just the tops of buildings but you can a bit of the ocean. For food: calamari (EUR15.50c), red peppers stuffed with feta (EUR9.50c), and a side of olives. Bill came to EUR47.50c (NZD93.70c). The highlight were the roasted peppers so if you decide to eat here then order it for sure and note that you'll be forced to give a tip even though tipping is not required in Greece. Nothing really outstanding here so quite an average experience across the board. Good location.

The food was so delicious and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. We ordered taramasalata, grilled sardines, greek salad and tomatokefledes. We finished off the meal with Baclava and everything was brilliant. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting/staying in Fira.

We found Ouzeri just wondering around by the i love Santorini sign could easily be missed. Spoke to Goege during the day and booked for the evening. Shrimp Saganaki to start for me Absolutely the best I have had on any greek island and been chasing this dish for 20 od years. The texture and the flavour is perfect. Lamb shank on mash for 2nds do not let mash put you off over potatoes. This mash is creamy dream. Meat fell off the bone cooked to perfection. Mine was so good can't remember what wife had🫢 🙂. Returned for a 2nd night now with so many restaurants to choose from when you want to return it must be good. Mussels Saganaki and Tomatokeftedes to start Both absolutely perfect in every way would have been more then happy with mussels as main course. Spicy pork casserole and Kritharoto Prawns Saganaki for 2nds. As it was cold night casserole was perfect and just enough as the mussels was a big starter. A really massive thank you to Goege, rest of staff and the chefs who never get a mention from Tracey and John making some really nice memories for our 25th anniversary. Please if you are visiting Fira Santorini don't let this restaurant pass you by. You may not get the perfect sunset view while eating but you still can get a just as butifull view out over Santorini and the sea.
