The Oxford Kitchen is a beautifully designed restaurant with an inviting atmosphere and an elegant bar area that immediately sets the tone for a relaxed yet refined dining experience. I stopped in for a simple brunch and dessert, but the charcuterie board quickly became the highlight of the visit.
Every element on the board was thoughtfully curated, with flavors and textures that complemented one another perfectly. From the savory selections to the delicate accompaniments, each bite felt balanced and intentional. The combination of rich cheeses, perfectly paired meats, and flavorful additions created a charcuterie experience that was both delightful and memorable. It was the kind of plate that encourages you to slow down and appreciate how beautifully every ingredient worked together.
The dessert was equally top-notch and served as the perfect ending to the meal. Sweet, indulgent, and beautifully prepared, it completely elevated my day with a comforting and satisfying treat. After enjoying the savory richness of the charcuterie, the dessert provided the perfect balance leaving a lasting impression long after the final bite.
I found this place by accident on an unexpected overnight stay. As someone who knows British cuisine and quirks, I had to try the fish and chips - they even offered mushy peas that are a staple accompaniment to this dish. The chips were hot, tasty and just like Britchips… the fish was tasty, batter was different to what the UK have, but it was good and crispy. The mushy peas tasted great, however the consistency was wrong, it was too smooth like a paste, so my only thing to advise, is making sure it’s “ lumpy” with the peas not purried, they tasted brilliant though!
The decor was fun, light airy and most importantly, clean! Loved the bar area and the place is huge. The staff serving and bar tendering were superb and friendly - I loved everything about this place and I’ll get back!
Visited The Oxford Kitchen tonight for a birthday dinner - our first time there to try their British-themed food and atmosphere. Tuesday night, not too busy, and we loved having it be too crowded.
The service Michael provided was impeccable - he went out of his way to introduce the menu to us and was amazingly attentive, which we appreciated very much. He kept an eye on us in case we needed anything at all, and was always two steps ahead! He made our dining experience both fun and five-star.
The food was also just as wonderful...we thoroughly enjoyed the beef wellington and the sauce served alongside it was delicious. The cast iron rolls were minature, so cute, but just the right amount for two people and baked perfectly. The scotch eggs were also very good! Desert-wise, the cheese cake was just not a winner....however, the bread pudding was remarkable. I wish the serving was larger - definitely not sharable, haha.
The only reason the food category didnt get a 5, was because the food menu was literally just one page. Yes, ONE. The remaining three pages of the menu were all beverages and spirits, LOL. I would have expected a larger food offering in a themed restaurant....but then again, it is a "pub".
Overall, great dinner and service. We will be back!
We went in on a last minute day date! The entire restaurant is absolutely spotless. Everything was super clean and was ready for us! The atmosphere would be of a place to have a nice lunch meeting or a nice evening out. With indoor and outdoor dining it truly can become something special. The food that we ordered was spectacular. The scotch eggs were incredible. The Oxford shepherd Pie was served extremely hot. The star of the show was the chicken plate. If you want mushrooms without the earthy taste with a soft delicious chicken then this place is absolutely perfect. We will definitely be back. They had a wide selection of all types of whisky from all over the world! Mexico and Tequila, Kentucky and Bourbon, Japan and Japanese whiskey, Several wines of course being nestled in Lodi! This place was celebrating their 4th year being open so we had a glass of Free Champagne!
Came for a late night dinner on a Saturday night and got the Kobe beef and a side of curry sauce with a N/A Pimm's Cup. Service was decent, but slightly slow for how empty the restaurant was at 8PM. Food was also good, but we didn't love the curry sauce. Loved the vibes and appreciated the windows and doors were all open to the night air.
