We went to Paillard - Rue Saint Jean for teatime. This French- style artisan bakery and pastry shop is popularly known for their handcrafted bread and pastries. They have a selection of freshly baked pastries like Croissants, Croc Framboise, Chocolate Twist, Muffins, Galette Granola, Lemon Cake, Brioche, Cinnamon Rolls, Cranberry Loaves, Olive Batard, Baguette, Lemon Tartlets, Macaroons (various flavours), Quiche, Sandwiches, Sweet Desserts, Juices and Hot Beverages just to name a few. We ordered some pastries and they tasted buttery, flaky and full of deliciousness. We love the ambience and the whimsical bunnies decorations for Easter added a pleasant atmosphere. This Paillard bakery is highly rated by visitors for its high quality products and friendly service.
I was in Quebec City for a couple of days and visited this beautiful café a few times during my stay. The food was delicious, and I really enjoyed eating here. Their Croissant Matin breakfast combo was amazing, and they have a great variety of baked goods. The macarons and croissants are definitely worth trying! Even when the café was very busy, the food quality and consistency remained excellent. The staff were friendly, efficient, and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Quebec City *****
The croissant breakfast was delicious with crisp, buttery pastries served warm. While the food quality was good, the service experience was less ideal. Staff seemed impatient when explaining the bread selection process to non-French speakers, making ordering slightly stressful.
I had a great experience at this bakery. The staff is very welcoming and nice. You can really tell that they make everything fresh every day, because the quality and taste stand out. The best part is that it is affordable, making it a perfect spot for a quick coffee and fresh baked treat if u r in Quebec City!
Bread and food were finger-licking good! Ordering can be a challenge for first time visitors. But staff are helpful, friendly, attentive and polite and flashing a smile. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. The variety of freshly baked pastries and bread made my heart jump out of happiness.
