Perfect small restaurant. I can’t really praise this enough from the service to the food and the wine. Started well when I tried to book for 4 for on a Saturday with only a weeks notice. The initial response was “let me see what I can juggle round” but sadly it wasn’t possible. The owner then rang back immediately to say he had found a way to accommodate us. We arrived to a busy restaurant and a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate their 20 years in business. A much appreciated gesture. A simple menu with fair 2/3 course price. Smoked salmon and fillet steak was superb. Took a wine recommendation which was decanted and served efficiently - so 2 bottles needed and enjoyed. Can’t rate this highly enough and thanks to the staff for making this such a good evening.
Loved their homemade tagliolini tossed with courgettes and chestnut mushrooms on a pecorino cheese fondue! Al dente, aromatic, and creamy, silky in the mouth. A genuine delight to have lunch here followed by a nice beach walk. Good location, too. Good recommendation of rose. We felt welcome and the front-of-house was flawless to complement such talented kitchen team. Super good value for money for their 3-course lunch menu.
Really great food that definitely feels special. Not cheap, but not was it expensive for what it was. Just really good food, service and feel to the place. Will be going back
Top meal & my favourite dinner spot in North Berwick. High level friendly service, quality ingredients & perfect cooking & presentation. You can tell they hold themselves to a high standard. Highly recommended.
