Sastrería Martinez is a speakeasy-style bar in Miraflores, Lima, known for its unique concept. It is hidden behind the facade of a traditional tailor shop, often requiring a password for entry, which sets an exclusive and mysterious tone. The ambiance is intimate, stylish, and inspired by the elegance of the 1920s Prohibition era, featuring beautifully designed spaces and sometimes secret rooms, including a curated whiskey room. The cocktail menu is creatively presented like a fabric swatch book.
Customers consistently praise Sastrería Martinez as a memorable and exceptional experience, often calling it a 'hidden gem' and a highlight of their trip to Lima. The cocktail program receives high acclaim for its creativity, balance, and attention to detail, with many describing the drinks as 10/10. The food, though secondary to cocktails, is noted as being 'far beyond typical bar fare' and highly recommended. The staff, particularly the bartenders, are frequently highlighted for being incredibly welcoming, passionate, and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall enjoyment.
