My friends and I had a lovely dinner at Sensi in Amalfi. We chose the six-course tasting menu, and everything was tasty, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We also received a few complimentary bites throughout the meal, which was a really nice touch.
The service was truly unmatched. The staff was attentive and accommodating, and if there are specific items or ingredients you don’t enjoy, they are able to modify the courses, which we really appreciated. We even had the opportunity to meet the chef at the end of our experience, which made the evening feel even more special.
One thing to keep in mind is that the tasting menu is definitely an experience rather than a quick dinner. We dined for a little over two hours, so I would recommend allowing plenty of time and enjoying the pace.
Overall, we had a wonderful evening and would absolutely recommend Sensi for a special dining experience while in Amalfi.
Very nice spot for lunch with a nice view of the water and covered with fans. We had the Seabass, the fried mozzarella and the pasta with Seabass bacon. The Seabass was very fresh and delicious bread was delicious. The pasta was very Adante but very good. Worth the price. Service was good but not very formal. A relaxed place. This was for the rooftop lunch not the formal dinner. I would return if back in amalfi. The lemon cello spritz was delicious and powerful!
We were incredibly disappointed and heartbroken by this restaurant. The service is INCREDIBLE and the servers and staff are SO nice! Unfortunately, the food was just, meh. And for a Michelin star place, and for how expensive it was, it was pretty crazy that the food wasn’t to die for. Every dish that we got had the same flavor profile - sour. Every dish :( also, they give SO MANY dishes not part of the courses so we couldn’t finish anything! Not a bad thing, but you do not need the 8-course meal! Our 8 courses finished at 14 courses - just something to note. Also, it was a 3.5 hour experience so keep that in mind. We ended up having to get a taxi back to Positano for €150 because the busses had stopped running. Overall, I wish it had been the honeymoon gift it was supposed to be
When I was looking for a good place to eat in Amalfi I came across Sensi, what intrigued us was that Chef Alessandro created a tasting menu without the four essential ingredients of our day today kitchen, they were Salt, sugar, flour and milk derivatives, we had this menu for our dinner. The staff was very attentive and explained every single detail in depth, the wine selection was good, the experience lasted about 3 hours every course was exceptional and we kept wondering what was going to come next. The chef took time to meet us in his kitchen and talk to us. Overall a great food experience.
Sensi was one of the most memorable culinary experiences we had in Amalfi. Every detail was impeccable, from the breathtaking views and elegant atmosphere to the beautifully crafted dishes. The olive oil I discovered there was particularly unforgettable; its fruity character and beautifully balanced aromas perfectly captured the essence of the region. Combined with flawless service, Sensi is far more than just a restaurant—it offers an authentic experience that truly embodies the spirit of Amalfi.
