Tucked just off the main street, this is exactly the kind of place you hope to stumble upon in Italy — quiet, unhurried, and deeply local. Watching neighbours stop mid-stride to exchange a warm word with the owner and staff told us everything we needed to know before we even sat down. This place is clearly a hub of the community.
We ordered the Scialatelli ai Frutti di Mare and the Polipetto all'Amalfitano. The seafood pasta was a revelation — impeccably fresh mussels, perfectly balanced seasoning, and pasta that carried the flavours of the sea beautifully. The octopus was cooked to perfection, genuinely tender, though the sauce leaned boldly salty. The bread saved the day there, and we weren't complaining.
If you're in Amalfi, leave the main drag and find this place. You won't regret it.
We had an amazing dinner at this place. The squid soup was incredible—so tasty and full of flavor. The seafood pasta and lemon cake were also delicious. Everything felt very authentic. My partner had the lamb chops and loved them! The staff were lovely and attentive. We were staying at a hotel nearby, and they always greeted us with a big smile whenever we walked past the restaurant.
Chanced upon this trattoria while googling for a place to dine anf it turned out to be a great find! The waiter was knowledgeable and patient with our questions about the food and the wines.
I loved the baked codfish and ravioli. The seafoof scialatielli was very delicious too.
Would definitely highly recommend this place!
The food was delicious and the waiters were very kind and friendly. The food was served in beautiful ceramic plates and gave it a special feeling. Definitely recommended!
We stumbled upon this place while wandering Amalfi. It's in a cute alleyway, just away from the main street and therefore quite quiet. The staircase some tables are in is one of the oldest staircases in Amalfi (according to the staff).
We got a Lemon Spritz (€10) which was very alcohol forward (great if you want it for the booze); Baccalá croccante su salsa mediterranea (€16) which my partner said is better than the way his Italian mother makes it; Frittura mista do pesce (€20) which was done excellently; and Scialatielli alla Nerano con zucchine, pecorino e basilico (€14) where the pasta was cooked perfectly [1L water is €4].
The staff are polite and very respectful, as well as speak English. Coperto is €3 each. Free WiFi available. Overall it was an enjoyable meal.
