We absolutely loved this market! The selection is huge, everything is fresh, and the prices are very reasonable. Whether you’re looking for ready-made meals, fresh produce, baked goods, or snacks, you’ll find plenty of great options.
One thing we especially appreciated was that, later in the day, they place discount stickers on many items, including ready-made food, bakery products, fruits, and vegetables. It’s a great way to enjoy high-quality food while saving some money.
If you’re a tourist, be sure to bring your passport with you when checking out, as they can deduct the tax from your purchase, making your shopping even more affordable. Overall, it’s an excellent market that I’d highly recommend visiting. 😊
Large supermarket in Seoul with lots of daily products. Cheaper price with big package. Good place for souvenirs from Seoul and other food also cooked food available. Tax free available. Credit card accepted. Located next to Seoul station. Enjoy !
Finally the place where there's a supermarket which promotion and cheaper prices. A lot of different products and with other shops e.g. Daiso with it. Have to pay for plastic bag and do note, every 2nd and 4th wk of Wednesday is closed! Come here for your shopping instead of going to myeongdong! Do show passport for tax free refund
On one hand this is a last minute shopper’s paradise. Located conveniently inside Seoul station, you can pick up literally anything you need for your trip back home.
They have an EMS onsite (opposite side of the building from customer service on the first floor), with free boxes and shipping supplies. Shipping to North America runs approximately 10,000-20,000won per kilogram (doesn’t seem to be linear), and also varies based on size. There’s also an area where you can (re)pack your luggage.
On the other hand, it’s not a deal of any kind if you’re not a member, which you are most likely not if you’re a foreigner reading about this. Non-members are paying basic regular prices; still good but not as good as it could be.
It’s also a crowded mess of people.
But one thing that wasn’t cool was the younger man in his 30s behind the seafood banchan counter. He was berating the older women staff for not being more proactive and in-your-face with offering samples to customers.
I was visiting Seoul and stopped by Lotte Mart near Seoul Station to grab some groceries, and I randomly came across a promotion for sheet masks. They had a pick-and-mix deal with brands like Banobagi, so I picked up a few out of curiosity.
I’ve seen the same masks at Olive Young, and the prices here were noticeably cheaper, which was a nice surprise. I actually ended up buying more than I planned because of that.
There were plenty of options, and it didn’t feel overwhelming, so it was easy to just grab a few that looked good. It turned out to be a pretty good find during my trip.
