I'd never been here before, and I was pleasantly surprised! Our server was Jaya, and she was SO AMAZING! Not only was she absolutely ADORABLE, but she was a FANTASTIC server, AND, she could DANCE, TOO! She, and a couple OTHER girls, got up and did a little jig, line dancing, to the music. One thing I DIDN'T like was, the VOLUME LEVEL! It was too loud, for me personally, and the sautéed mushrooms, were WAY too salty, HOWEVER, the STEAK I had, the Texas Filet, was grilled to PERFECTION! And THAT, along with Jaya, is why I'm rating them 5 stars!
Great service and food! The place was pretty busy but we didn't wait long at all for our food. Our server was pleasant and precise, I think his name was Johan!!! Thank you for your amazing service!
I LOVE Texas Roadhouse but today I was disappointed. I ordered beef tips and a kid chicken tenders with some sides. I got all the way home and was disappointed in the size of my mushrooms. I paid the same price for a side of broccoli that is cost for mushrooms and the container is way smaller in size. My beef tips had no gravy whatsoever which made them kind of dry.
My friend and I visited the Texas Roadhouse on Battleground Ave. yesterday around 5pm. I have no complaints whatsoever with our server. She was awesome. I tipped her 25% of our bill, including the prices of the free appetizer we each had. I never saw a manager on the floor checking on tables like they do at most steakhouses. The black pepper and steak sauces on the table were almost empty. They had no sweet potatoes, and the company will not allow you to get double the salad. So I settled for a baked potato, which had a very dry texture. I ordered a bowl of chili for us to share, and it was barely lukewarm. You would think with all the people they had working the manager would have sent someone around the corner to Harris Teeter to get more sweet potatoes. I didn't feel like complaining because it was my friend's birthday, so I just figured the free appetizers compensated for it some. 🙄
Unfortunately, tonight's visit will be our last at this Texas Roadhouse location.
Our experience started off well enough. Our waitress took our drink order promptly and brought the drinks out quickly. However, things steadily declined after that. She took our food order and told us she would bring us some rolls, but they never arrived.
Two members of our party ordered side salads—one with ranch dressing and one with Italian dressing. When the salads were delivered, she essentially dropped them on the table and left immediately. Both salads had ranch dressing, and before I could point out that mine was supposed to have Italian dressing, she was already gone. We then waited nearly 10 minutes without seeing her again.
Eventually, my daughter went to find a manager. After speaking with him, he promptly brought us the rolls and the correct Italian dressing.
Unfortunately, our waitress remained absent until it was time to deliver our entrées.
When the food arrived, my filet was cooked medium instead of the medium-rare temperature I requested. The rolls were overbaked, and by that point the overall dining experience had become disappointing.
This location used to be one of our favorites, but the quality of both the service and overall experience has noticeably declined during our last several visits. Because of that, we'll be taking our business to the Burlington or High Point locations in the future, where we hope to receive the level of service we've come to expect from Texas Roadhouse.
