My husband I were a little scared by some older reviews , but I can say with confidence that this is a really cozy, beautiful stay. We stayed overnight after a concert in new hope and it was just what we needed, about 20 minutes from there. Our room was super clean, bathroom looked recently remodeled and there was a cute little self serve coffee bar for guests. This quiet property has a ton of character and is situated in the heart of downtown. The host was really responsive by text, as they don’t appear to have a traditional check in set up.
💕 Lovely room layout. Beautiful bed and bedding, closet, hangers, deep drawer, desk, two comfortable chairs. High ceilings. Lighting. Lovely from outside corner room so two windows. Plus side tables with lamps. Window unit keeps room nice and cool. Bathroom. Modern. Marbled tiled. Nice size. Plenty of good towels and plenty of hot water. Comfortable tub for soaking. Nice shower. 💕
🌼 Easy check in. Parking right there. 🌼 (Onsite Restaurant renovations underway.)
✨ Great walking neighborhood with engaging shops and great choices of places to eat. Bucks County has plenty of outdoor fun. ✨
🌸 We enjoyed our stay in the Strickland Room and will stay again. 🌸
🥂 We enjoy historic buildings and small towns. We got engaged and married in Bucks County. We live away now.
We so enjoy the welcome we receive when we are back visiting. Thank you Brick Hotel 🥂
I’ve stayed at this historic hotel many times during events in Newtown. The location is right in the heart of Newtown, walkable to restaurants and shops. The hotel is old. There is no elevator, due to the age. There are 3 floors. Each room has different wallpaper and such. The bed was very soft. & not very comfortable. There used to be a restaurant directly below, but that has since closed. There is no microwave, frig and only 1 shared Kurig coffeemaker for the floor. If you needed ice, a sign directed one to go to 711. The rooms need updating and repairs of floors that are uneven. The main concern was the front desk is empty. There was no body to check you in, paperwork & key were just left on the table upstairs. The front door is unlocked. There are no security cameras. The open door was a major concern regarding safety and security. I’ve stayed at Historic Inns before, and that’s what I would call this. It was clean, no stains on the floors. The price was reasonable.
Cute place without the luxuries. Well maintained, though it was in renovations. Great service. Once you get past the fact that this is a historic old building, the stay was good. I would definitely come back, especially after the renovations are done.
This is a hotel in a 250 year old building in a quaint town. I see some reviews on here about slanting stairs and old amenities but I don’t know why they even stayed there. It’s clean and it’s quiet and the owner was responsive and kind. The restaurant was closed but we still sat on the patio with a bottle of wine we bought in town. It was lovely.
