This place has been on my list since the announcement of the opening. I finally got to go on Father’s Day. First of all, the place is absolutely beautifully decorated. The outdoor patio is amazing and energetic. It would definitely be a place. I’d like to sit on the next trip. Inside… No detail was missed. It is absolutely beautifully and perfectly decorated and really gives you a true tiki bar experience in terms of decor. High ceilings, plenty of rooms, (Tiki)‘s everywhere and the overall aesthetic is amazing. The service was very friendly and attentive and we didn’t want for anything. We got a Lapu Lapu and one of the shareable drinks along with a couple of appetizers. The crab Rangoon was amazing and the chicken wings were well cooked. I prefer a little bit more seasoning, but that is not a complaint at all. That is simply a preference. The wings were good. My drink was a little more tart than I prefer for a Lapu Lapu, but again that is not a complaint, just a preference. The shareable drink was definitely boozy and had great flavor. My only complaint is that the prices are quite high. I do understand that you’re right on the beach and you’re in prime real estate but I wish there were a few more options that were more on the $10-$15 range in terms of appetizers and a little bit more of a subtle jump up to the entrées. The server did tell us about it tomahawk steak special for Father’s Day and that was $130. Granted, it was a 40 ounce steak, but that is not a purchase that I would make in a tiki bar. All in all, I’m glad I made the visit because it is absolutely beautiful and I would make a return to try a couple of different drinks. I did walk away with one of their custom (Tiki) mugs that is designed by big toe and always pumps out quality designs. I’d just be ready to drop some money when you visit.
