This is the first tasting menu that I have been too, and I enjoyed it. We came here when their menu was based off of the Guadalajara region in Mexico. They brought out snacks in the beginning before they started to bring out the courses. My favorite courses were the first two, Taco Destruido and Taco Planchado. Taco Destruido had many different elements to it, and it was very appealing visually. I liked the Taco Planchado because of the umami, and the mushrooms had a divine texture. While all of the meats were tender and had good texture, some of the dishes I felt were subpar such as the birria.
The service was good, the food came out in an evenly paced manner, however the person in charge of doing the utensils did at one point mess up our utensils and she had to switch them. We added on the mezcal pairing, and our server almost moved on to the next mezcal when we hadn’t gotten the course yet - something that should not happen at a Michelin-star restaurant.
Overall the food was tasty with high quality ingredients and I left full. There were just some blips in the experience that made it a little less than smooth.
