Sorry but it's inexcusable to not have A/C in your rooms. Made worse by a 2 inch window opening. It was unbelievably hot for my 1 night stay. I wish I could have opened the door to allow the hallway air in, it was much cooler in the hallways.
To top thing off, the elevator was not working. And according to start, this has been a months to no end debacle. Take money and fix this shit. Carrying luggage for 3 stories was no joke.
The room is very comfortable, clean nd showroom pressure is excellent. But the heat will kill you. The users mini fan was a joke. I tried requesting a 2nd one, but it was not available.
Starbucks is in the building. I can't speak of breakfast, as I missed it due to not sleeping well. I was miserable.
The staff are friendly. Truly friendly, and I believe even sympathetic to the hot rooms. But they don't own the place. If I had known of the no A/C, I would not have booked. Reason why I stayed only 1 night.
Oh, there was no ICE machine. And parking out front is NOT free.
Stayed 3 nights for business. It has the usual gym, pool, and sports bar you expect from the chain. The biggest perks here are the massive car park (much easier to get a space than other locations) and the reliable EV chargers, which were always available. It's incredibly convenient right off the M6.
The room was standard, but the cleanliness of the toilet wasn’t great and there was a bad smell in the bathroom. Good for a convenient work stopover, but housekeeping needs a bit of attention.
Firstly done a £104 deal, £50 off dinner and drinks, breakfast ect for family of 4. Breakfast was nice , dinner was amazing !! Burgers are unreal!! Swimming ,gym and facilities are amazing !! Location and staff are amazing. Lift wasn't working and got put in room 371 which had no Aircon but a fan, was a tough night's sleep but overall for the cost and what we actually got was brilliant. Would Stay again id probably ask for 2 more fans
Do not book here if you want any comfort as there is no air-conditioning and the rooms are excessively hot (it was during a week of 30c). We got fans from reception which were dirty and dusty and did little to cool the room down. None of our party managed to sleep, it’s a pity as the hotel itself is nice and has a Starbucks onsite.
Stayed here a few times. Recently refurbished rooms, which look and feel great. Location is good, just off J10, but, can get very very busy, goes without saying. Always made to feel welcome by the staff, but, particularly, the young gent, with tattoos and dark hair and a beard, on reception is a real assett to this hotel. (So sorry forgot his name). Goes out of his way to answer any questions, and always excellent customer service, with a smile. Cannot comment on the gym, as haven't used it here. The Starbucks is great within the hotel also. Lovely staff, great selection of hot/cold food, drinks etc, what one would expect. This is one of my favourite Village Hotel's.
