Overall, it is 5 stars for showcasing high quality fine dining and service.
Waiting Experience
Dinner was really a waiting experience.
25min waiting for the next dish. Every time 25min. We had to ask for the 2 deserts to come together to avoid spending another hour waiting for deserts. Food was very good. Wine pairing OK but for the italian red. Deserts were excellent. If it had lasted 1.5h instead of 3h, we would have been able to enjoy it. But the long waiting periods without food nor drinks (if you go for the pairing no drink either for long periods of time) made the experience a waiting and patience exercise mostly. As an apology, we were kindly offered not to pay the 12.50% service fee included. Not a whisky or anything else...
We had a lovely dinner on the last night of our stay at the Torridon.
Each course got better and better with a fantastic couple of desserts!
The wine pairing was enthusiastically delivered by Oliver who kept us entertained and informed
