I am sounding the alarm to the world that this brewery a gem in Chicago. A good size taproom to bring your friends, or to meet new ones. The atmosphere is great, the staff are great, and the 🍺 is delicious.
There were still about 15 breweries I wanted to visit in Chicagoland, but with only one day left, Alarmist was the only one I *really* wanted to hit. Somewhere in Chicago I had one of their IPAs (Le Jus?) on tap. Probably one of the multitude of street fairs available in the nice weather months here. Anyway, that beer rocked. While Alarmist have a very cartoonish logo that looks like it'd get me kicked off a plane if I was wearing it on a tee shirt, their beers are decidedly more mature. Taste-wise at least. They still call some of them 'Pantsless,' which is the only way to enjoy life, of course.
Another Chicago Gem. The cask Belgian Patersbier was a real treat for a Belgian beer lover like me. The staff is super friendly, happy to explain the beers and not in a pretentious way. Super fun, laid back, great place to go with friends, family, and coworkers. Happy hour is $4 pints 4-6. That is too good a deal for premium beer! Highly recommend stopping by, enjoying a few at the bar, and chatting with the cool staff!
A great brewery tucked away on the north side with an outstanding selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. They have plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor along with a big parking lot. They have food popups fairly often, but also have many tasty places to order from in the area. Whether you're stopping by for an afternoon pint or having a party, you can rest assured its gonna be a good time!
Alarmist Brewery is a taproom favorite that's leaving a lasting impression. After almost 8 years, we're sad to see them go, but grateful for the memories. The Crispy Boy Pilsner is a personal standout - stocking up before it's too late! 🍻
