We had made a reservation for 8pm, it was full in the restaurant. The servers are so friendly, they open the door, introduce themselves. They had a card for me as I was celebrating 7 years of sobriety, and they had congratulated me. We had non alcoholic beverages that were delicious 🤤 I loved the ginger marshmallow. I can’t remember the name of the dish k. The spoon but it was like a mini donut with some sort of shrimp stuffing? I could eat 10 of those. As my first course, that was my first time trying the fig dish and I was not the biggest fan, my friend liked it more than me, so she finished it. My main course was the duck & I throughly enjoyed it (again first time trying duck) the textures, and flavours was a delightful experience in my mouth. I do like how the servers explain everything on your plate before you eat it, as there is a lot going on. It was so sweet to see all the servers help you put your jacket on, open the door for you. Very genuine, and thoughtful. The atmosphere at that late of an hour gets darker as time goes on, as they are closing. For 1 non alcoholic drink, appy, and entree the bill was $89. Unfortunately I left feeling hungry, so we did go to another restaurant for more food.
My wife and I shared an incredible experience here. We chose the six-course dinner with the wine pairing, and every course was exceptional. The food, wine, service, and attention to detail made for a truly memorable evening. While it is certainly a splurge, it delivered a genuine fine dining experience that was well worth it. Highly recommended for a special occasion.

The tasting was well worth it. You get a perfect meal that allows you to try everything it feels like. The staff were exceptional- friendly and inviting. Our favourite dish was the salmon with the scallop and asparagus a close second but everything was amazing!

The service here is by far the best I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant—staff greet you with the door held open as you arrive and see you out again once you’ve finished. The menu is quite concise, so it’s easy to order almost everything on it in one go. Portions are on the smaller side, which makes the prices very reasonable.
The restaurant isn’t big, but it’s warmly decorated and has everything you need despite its size. It offers dishes made with chicken, duck, beef, and fish, all of which taste great. The foie gras is the most delicious I’ve ever had, and the seasoning on the scallops is absolutely amazing. All in all, it’s definitely worth a visit to check in and enjoy the food.

My husband and I went to Ankor in Canmore for his 30th birthday last night. The service was absolutely incredible. They had a birthday card ready for him when we arrived for our reservation. We both got the tasting menu with wine pairings. The food was out of this world!! I’m not a wine gal so I just had a sip to taste them all but they accentuated the dishes wonderfully and we enjoyed hearing the descriptions of all the wines as well. For the dessert course they even put a birthday candle in my husbands dish. The atmosphere was very intimate and cozy. We will definetly be back!! Thanks ankor!
