Everything was great, especially the focaccia. Such a cute interior too. It’s so nice to go to a dedicated gf place that just feels like a normal restaurant :) I will definitely be back!
Clementina brought me back to when I was in Puglia Italy for my sister’s wedding. With my mom, sister, and myself being Celiac, eating gluten free in Italy was some of the best food experiences we’ve ever had . Being new to the Bay Area where finding good gluten free food is next to impossible, clementina was like traveling back in time to when I was in Italy. 100% gluten free restaurant, all family owned. The owner of the restaurant opened clementina because his daughters are both celiac and wanted to share the tradition or true northern Italian cooking with his family and with everyone here in San Francisco. Everything was fantastic from the calamari pasta to the fried pork cutlet, desserts, and wine selection, it is truly a gem.
If you’re looking for a full on gluten free experience where you can have no fear of cross contamination or being judged because of it then Clementina will set you free.

Overall, I was very pleased with Clementina and definitely want to bring my family here. With everything carefully curated for a full on gluten free Italian experience it’s definitely worth it!

Food is great for gluten free folks, and okay for the rest of us accompanying them. No sense judging it against normal food with gluten
Service was solid but not exceptional, with some long pauses.
Food Review:
Crocchette ($18.00) Eggplant Fritters, Smoked Paprika Mayonnaise for 4 are large balls filled with warm eggplant. 8.5/10
FOCACCIA E BURRO ($8) House Focaccia, Whipped House Butter, Maldon Sea Salt. is great for GF people. Lots of cubes that are not powdery. 8.5/10
Clementina Pizza ($25.00) Mozzarella, Spigarello, Pork Sausage, Stracciatella are rectangular and could have had more meat. Better than most gluten free ones. 8.5/10
Gnocchi Agnello ($25.00) was made with the eggless pasta and Lamb Ragù, Parmigiano Reggiano. Much better than a simple penne and good sauce. 9/10
Tiramisu ($13.00) Coffee Soaked Pan di Spagna, Mascarpone, Eggs, Cacao is a godsend for GF folks. 8.5/10

We had such a fantastic night at Clementina last night! The service was warm and welcoming from start to finish, and honestly, every single thing we ordered was excellent. We went all in on pizzas and pastas, and everything was so good that even the gluten-eaters at the table completely forgot it was gluten-free. The standout for me might have been the focaccia — somehow fluffy, airy, and deeply satisfying, served with whipped butter that we could not stop eating. They also have a wonderful wine list that made the whole evening feel extra festive.
And then came dessert. We ordered one of everything and have zero regrets: a truly excellent tiramisu, an intensely rich flourless chocolate cake, silky panna cotta topped with fresh berries, and some especially delicious gelato. It was one of those meals where everyone at the table just kept looking at each other saying, “wait, THIS is gluten-free?” We had the best time and can’t wait to come back.
