I’ve been coming to COTE for years, and it continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in Miami. Originally from New York, COTE brings together the quality of a Michelin-starred restaurant with a fun, energetic atmosphere that makes it an excellent date-night spot.
I especially love the design of the dining room. The tables are separated by clear, smoky-glass partitions, which create an intimate setting where you don’t feel like the tables next to you can hear your conversation, while still keeping the entire restaurant visually connected. It’s a really beautiful setup.
The food is always excellent. This time I ordered both the filet mignon and the A5 filet mignon. After trying the A5, it honestly felt like an entirely different experience. The richness, tenderness, and flavor were incredible. If you’re coming to COTE, I highly recommend trying the A5 filet at least once.
They also had a DJ playing, which was a great addition to the atmosphere and gave the restaurant an even better vibe.
My one criticism is that I wish the menu had a little more variety when it comes to salads and desserts. There’s really only one main salad option, the wedge salad, and for dessert they essentially have the complimentary ice cream. For a restaurant at this level, I’d love to see a few more fresh salad choices and a proper dessert selection.
Reservations can be extremely difficult to get during the busier parts of the year, which is why summer is actually one of my favorite times to come. I went yesterday and was able to take advantage of the easier reservation availability.
Overall, COTE has remained consistently excellent over the years. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, perfect for a date night, and always a fun experience. Easily one of the best restaurants in Miami and highly recommended.
