Fiery Sky Asian Kitchen

What an excellent experience! Food was bang on! Our waitress was charming and attentive! A lovely clean dining area… I will likely only eat her when in the mood for Szechuan dining! Prices are a bit elevated, but they have every right..because so is the food quality and portion sizes! See yall soon!

Dry Pot Pork Ribs: The meat is breaded; breaded meat has absolutely no place in 干锅 (dry pot dishes) at all. For this item to be on the “Authentic Chinese” menu after they specifically created two menus (Americanized and Authentic Chinese) is unacceptable. Authenticity aside, the pork rib tips are salty and dry. Regarding ingredient balance, there are way too many onions. It is also swimming in oil. This is far away from the correct authentic dish. Yu-Xiang Flavored Eggplant: This dish was good. The flavor is good, the salt level is good, but it has too much oil. On the bright side, their other dishes looked like they could have been promising.

🔥 First Visit to Fiery Sky Asian Kitchen 🔥 After seeing Fiery Sky recommended over and over by Columbus foodies, I finally made the trip—and I get the hype. 💵 Affordable prices ⏳ About a 10-15 minute wait 🫱🏾‍🫲🏼 Friendly, attentive service 🚗 Easy parking 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 There were families, couples, and friend groups dining at what clearly seemed to be one of their regular spots. There was also a heavy Asian clientele, which always feels like a good sign when you’re trying authentic Chinese food. We shared a couple appetizers to start. 🥢 Pork Egg Rolls (2) — $3.95 Hot and fresh, but not something I’d order again. I prefer egg rolls that are more cabbage-forward with a little crunch. These leaned softer in texture, and I picked up a slight fish taste. The sweet and sour sauce had a unique fruity finish and a thinner consistency than I personally prefer. 🥟 Sichuan Spicy Wontons — $8.95 Delicate pork wontons swimming in chili oil. These came out piping hot and were one of my favorite bites of the meal. Fresh, flavorful, and something I’d absolutely order again. Next time, I’d probably ask for extra spice. 🍜 Combination Stir-Fried Flat Rice Noodles — $16.95 Chicken, beef, shrimp, onions, bean sprouts, and green onions over wide rice noodles. The noodles had a great chewy texture and plenty of flavor, though the dish was definitely on the oily side. I enjoyed it, but there are too many things on the menu for me to order this one again. 🍗 Sweet & Sour Chicken — $15.95 My dining partner ordered this after we spotted it on a neighboring table, and honestly, that table did the Lord’s work because this ended up being the star of the meal. Huge portion. Hot, fresh, and crispy. The sweet and sour sauce comes on the side, which means the chicken keeps its crunch instead of getting soggy. Great for sharing, leftovers, or throwing in the air fryer the next day. Honestly, the chicken is so good you could skip the sauce altogether and dip it in whatever you like. Overall, Fiery Sky delivered exactly what I hoped for: good prices, generous portions, attentive service, and food that has me curious about what to order next. 📍1450 Bethel Rd. If you’ve been, what dish should I try next? 👀🔥🐦‍🔥

Just found my new favorite Asian restaurant in Columbus! The food was awesome, I don’t think we had a single thing that we didn’t absolutely love. I don’t remember our waiters name but she was lovely. She was friendly, patient and made great recommendations despite having a fully booked dining room with a line at the door. Can’t wait to go back!

I had a very disappointing experience here. The food was overly salty and oily, especially the stir-fried flat rice noodles, which felt heavy rather than flavorful. The soup was brought out already spilled down the side of the bowl, which made the presentation feel careless. Service was also poor. A soda was added to the bill, but it was never brought to the table. On top of that, the server seemed more focused on eating than checking on customers or making sure the order was correct.
