Matsuhisa Athens is my ultimate go-to for a premium experience in Athens. I have visited this place countless times since 2019, and it has never once disappointed me. Every visit is consistently a 10/10 experience, whether it’s corporate parties, cocktail events, dinners with a date, business or nights out with friends. It truly adapts to every occasion while always maintaining the same elevated standard. The bar is exceptional, food is amazing and the atmosphere & the vibe are always on point. Yes, it is on the pricier side, but that is so expected given its location inside the Four Seasons Astir Palace, along with the overall level of service and atmosphere. The valet parking makes everything effortless, and the staff is always exceptionally professional and well-trained. It has become, without exaggeration, one of the ultimate summer go-to spots in Athens when you want an elevated experience by the sea. The setting, the energy, the consistency, it all just works perfectly every single time. Nothing can make me hate this place. It simply delivers, always. 🤍

The restaurant is in a beautiful location with an absolutely stunning view, and the food was very good. Unfortunately, the service was only 3/5. The order of the dishes was mixed up, the rice we were offered never arrived, and it was difficult to get the waiters’ attention. They also didn’t notice when our water was finished. The restaurant itself looks quite tired and needs some maintenance. The wooden chairs and tables have many visible scratches and worn areas, and the bathroom door is in particularly poor condition. Beautiful place, amazing view and great food, but the service and overall condition could definitely be improved. And all of that fine if the price is not Nobu - with alcohol it was 750€ for 2 people

We visited Matsuhisa Athens with high expectations and left feeling underwhelmed. The view from the restaurant is genuinely great — one of the best parts of the evening — and the atmosphere scores well for that reason (I’d give it a solid 4 stars). The space is stylish and the setting feels special. Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the setting at all. The sushi’s seaweed was soggy, which is a basic failure for a place of this caliber and completely put us off the dishes. Service was average (around 3 stars): polite enough, but nowhere near the level you’d expect at these prices. The slowest moment came at the end when it took a full 30 minutes just to bring one scoop of ice cream. That felt excessive and careless. The final bill of €600 for five people made the whole experience even harder to justify. For that amount you expect precision, freshness, and attention to detail — none of which we got on the food side. Atmosphere and the view save it from a complete zero, but the soggy seaweed, slow dessert service, and steep price tag left us disappointed. Not a place we’d rush back to.

The last night of a two week vacation started out great. 4 of us ordered the tasting menu. The first 5 courses arrived in 1 hr and 15 minutes and were excellent. The next course arrived 30 minutes later and then the soup course arrived 30 minutes after that. We gave up on the desert course and asked for our check. We felt totally ignored for the last hour of our meal. We left a nice tip for our server concluding it probably was not his fault. I expected a lot more for a meal that cost 1,500 Euros. We ordered two 130 Euro bottles of wine which drove up the price. I have dined at several Nobu restaurants and have always had a great experience. This visit was very poor and will probably my last Nobu visit. I hate that this is the concluding memory of a great vacation.

Outstanding experience at Matsuhisa Athens. Exceptional food quality, beautifully balanced flavors, and impeccable service. The atmosphere combines sophistication with a relaxed seaside vibe perfectly. The black cod and sushi selection were truly memorable. Easily one of the best dining experiences in Athens.
