For a dining experience of +$100 per person and a 3 month waitlist, I'd expect to be able to hear the person I'm sitting next to. Ordered the "shefha" special which came with a four course tasting menu. The pita was delightful. The ingredients felt clean and fresh. The presentation was pleasing visually. There wasn't much variety with flavor though I could see the authenticity of the dishes limiting that. The staff was courteous and happy to speak with us. However, between the loud music and the cramped dining quarters - I couldn't get a conversation in with my partner.
Food was less than mid for the price. Wait service was amazing. Atmosphere was an abhorrent cacophony.
This is one of the best places to eat in KENTUCKY!! we always go for the family style, multiple course meals. They are accommodating to every request, you get more of anything you want. We had dessert and they still brought me olives from another course bc I loved them and the wine paired beautifully. The cocktails are also worth trying ALL. So ladies night, y’all know what to do- everyone order something different and taste it all!!!!
We go here twice a year at this point. Angel’s Envy is a great pairing if you are in the area. Tour and dinner all in one neighborhood.
I don’t even know where to begin with this review.
I first heard about this restaurant from my boss who attempts to get on their reservation list at least once a month. So I was going in with good expectations already, but I was not prepared to have them exceeded to this degree. I am someone that eats alone 80 to 90% of the time so the atmosphere of a restaurant is really important for my overall experience. When I walked Into the restaurant, I was seated within two minutes of opening the door my coat was taken from me, and I was comfortably seated and ready to start my experience. Every single person working the floor that interacted with me was more than kind and knowledgeable about all the food on the menu and altogether really helped me make decisions that left me overly satisfied.
The food was beyond anything I had yet to try it at any other restaurant that I’ve been to. I have been to lots of restaurants and Mediterranean food is my all-time favorite food genre, so for me to label this restaurant as the best Mediterranean food I have ever had is really saying something. The portions were generous, the food was seasoned to absolute perfection, and all of the pairings for the bread and meat were absolutely incredible.
I can say with ease that this is the best restaurant I have ever been to. I plan on making this a regular spot for me and my family to go to. If you are looking at reviews and needing one more push to get you into the door, let this be the one that helps you make your reservation. You will not be disappointed.
Without a doubt, this is one of the best restaurants in Louisville. We had to make a reservation in advance and could only get seats at the bar, but it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened.
The service was impeccable—every single member of the staff was attentive and welcoming. The food was a solid 10/10, with unique flavors and exquisite combinations. We went straight for the tuna tartare, and it did not disappoint.
The atmosphere perfectly matches the restaurant’s concept. While some might find it a bit small with limited availability, I truly believe that’s what makes it so special. It creates a more relaxed, intimate, and almost home-like experience.
Overall, this has been the best dining experience I’ve had in Louisville so far. I 100% recommend it.
Waited two months for my reservation with my sister but it was so worth it! Everything was amazing, hot, fresh, and flavorful. I ate so much I was uncomfortable and still couldn't stop myself. Service was amazing, and shout out to our awesome server Colton. Will definitely be coming back and try some dessert next time. A little pricey but absolutely worth it!
