We ordered the full Omakase experience for everyone, and the food quality was superb. Although it was only 7 courses, service took about 2.5 hours from start to finish. That said, every single bite was truly unforgettable. The atmosphere was fairly casual, though a bit noisier than we would have preferred. We also wished there had been a little more lighting—our table’s candle kept blowing out, so we eventually had to ask for a small table lamp just to see our food! Overall, it was a great experience for a special occasion with family. While the price tag is definitely on the higher side, we looked at it as taking a mini trip to Japan for the night.

Nobu is the king of people watching! I've been in LA for 6 years but have yet to make it to Nobu until now. My wife took me for my birthday and it was a very memorable experience. The food was great, as was the atmosphere. We finished dinner and didn't want to camp out at a table so we closed and continued to have a few drinks at the bar area. The people in here are true characters. There's everyone from every possible background. My drink was made wrong and I had to wait about 15 minutes for it to be fixed, which was no big deal, it happens. With a place of this caliber, I was expecting them to comp the drink, but it was not. Again, not a big deal. Next time we'll request an outdoor table, the sea breeze seemed awesome out there. The pricing was surprisingly average for a high-end place, not exorbitant. Make a reservation and valet park.

the service is incredible and the views are even more memorable. the waves crashing thought dinner make you appreciate where you are. we got so many things: yellowfin tuna, shrimp, edamame, crispy tuna, ceviche, miso cod, chicken wings and many more. the best was the yellowfin and spicy tuna. so amazing. the drinks were great too. the hibiscus was fantastic and the cucumber tequila one. we also got some beer and the spicy marg and one of the vodka cocktails. no complaints. expensive but worth.

The ambiance is top tier. The food is exquisite. Service is bar none. Right on the beach front you'll get amazing views of the Pacific ocean and it's great one of a kind Sunsets. Pricy but not painful. Watch what you order. (Take a heavy wallet)

We went there with high expectations, but despite making our reservation a month in advance and specifically mentioning that it was our friend’s birthday, we realized that our note had not even been read. The staff welcoming guests at the entrance acted as if they owned the restaurant, which we found quite unpleasant. As a result, the table we were given was not nice at all — I would even say it was probably one of the worst tables in the restaurant. Throughout the evening, we constantly had to call the waiters over to get their attention. Aside from the beautiful view and atmosphere, we did enjoy the food, but I definitely don’t think the meal was worth such high prices. I wouldn’t come back here for the food alone. It may be worth visiting for the view, but not for the dining experience.
