We spent a night at Nathan Outlaw's Guset House and dined at his supper club, which will soon officially become the Bistro. The guest house is charming and our room, albeit one of the smaller available, was lovely and comfortable, had everything we needed and came with a balcony and a sea view.
The guest house itself is super-friendly, comfortable and a very relaxing place to be. The common areas and dining room are laid-back and all have a great vibe. The team who run the accommodation and front of house (Kelly, Steffi and Rachel) are fantastic, and made every guest feel like part of the Outlaw family.
The main event is of course the food, which is perfectly chosen and presented for this setting. Nathan cooks and serves the amazing food himself, and made time during the course of the evening for a conversation with every diner in the room. The menu will often change with the seasons, but whatever is served, you'll have the benefit of Nathan's many years of Michelin-starred experience to ensure it is fresh, cooked to perfection and provides unique flavours and experiences.
All in all, a thoroughly lovely experience, We'll certainly be going back.
From the moment we were warmly met by Stephi to the day we left Outlaws Guest House, we loved every moment. The meals we had at Outlaws New Road and Outlaws Fish Kitchen were superb with friendly and attentive staff.
The guest house is a homely, warm and very friendly environment with comfortable rooms and superb breakfast. It sits between Port Isaac and Port Gaverne and has wonderful views of the sea with the bridge at Tintagel visible on clear days!
We will certainly be visiting again.
We had such a lovely stay here. The location is amazing with absolutely stunning views. Everything was spotless, beautifully kept, and the attention to detail throughout was outstanding. It manages to feel smart and stylish without being overly ostentatious, more of a relaxed luxury feel which we really loved.
The staff were all so friendly, attentive and welcoming. The food was incredible too, the roast beef was probably the best we’ve ever had! Breakfast was equally fantastic, especially the granola which was out of this world (and they very kindly gave me the recipe!).
The sea view rooms are breathtaking, but even the smaller rooms at the back are still beautiful and finished to such a high standard. We would absolutely return and highly recommend staying here.
We had the best time in the guesthouse. for a birthday treat we did a package which included the room , breakfast and 7 course tasting menu at the fish kitchen ( which was fantastic) The team at the guesthouse are so friendly and welcoming and only having 9 rooms it feels like a boutique hotel . Room was well laid out and comfortable with classy decor , such a comfy bed . tea & coffee making facilities home baked cookies provided . Enjoyed having a drink in the lounge looking out to sea . A great place to start or finish you’re evening as there is an honesty bar and Stephanie makes her own vermouth if you fancy a negroni ( I had a couple and my face went numb😂 they were first class) Breakfast was delicious with such a great choice of home made granola fresh fruit , Cornish breakfast and off course trout or kegoree. You can eat at the bistro which is highly rated ( we didn’t have enough time but if it’s anything like the restaurant I would just book it) we would definitely go back and maybe take advantage of the winter package . Amazing ! thank you Nathan and all the team . 🐟
I very rarely give 5 stars but this visit was worth every one!
From start to finish the service and welcome from all staff was exceptional, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Rachel and Stephanie in particular made us feel so welcome and couldn’t do enough for us.
Our room was beautiful and comfortable with a perfect view. Everything we needed had been thought of.
The food was excellent, it was hard to choose as it all sounded delicious and certainly lived up to expectations. There was a great choice for both dinner and breakfast, everything we had was delicious.
I had booked this night away for my husband’s birthday and whilst probably more expensive than some places we have stayed we still felt it was worth every penny. We had a fantastic time and I would definitely come back again.
