Posto

There was probably three or four daily values worth of salt in my swordfish plate. The vegetables around the swordfish tasted like they were soaked in a salt bath. The zucchini in particular tasted like nothing but salt. You could barely taste any vegetable in it. The swordfish itself was also quite salty. My mouth felt sore leaving. We were not able to finish the plate even though we wanted the fresh vegetables for nutrition. My partner’s short rib gnocchi was pretty good, although it too was salty. Beyond the food, I didn’t feel this restaurant was put together. When we walked in, the tables were only about one fifth occupied. The color temperature of the lights was off and not pleasing or inviting. The restaurant was playing sports on the TVs and a generic playlist of best American songs like Michael Jackson and Mamma Mia. It didn’t feel Italian, curated or intentional. It seemed like the most generic possible option for everything. I feel bad for the workers, because they were very nice, but the restaurant was low quality and there were almost no customers. My feedback for the kitchen: Taste the vegetables before they go out. If they’re being cooked or held in salted water, the salt needs to be cut way down. The staff deserve better food behind them.

We could not have been any happier with the beautiful bridal shower we held at Posto South end yesterday. Janelle was so helpful in planning remotely, answering all of our questions regarding the space, food and decor. Kasey assisted us day of with kindness and grace. Marvin, the event manager and his team could not have been more helpful and attentive to us and our guests. The food was delicious and the atmosphere perfect for our family and friends. Thank you to the whole Posto team for a truly wonderful day!

If you’re looking for a spot in the South End that balances a high-end feel with approachable prices, Posto hits the mark. The atmosphere is immediately striking—a large, open-plan space that manages to feel intimate rather than cavernous, thanks to the moody, low-profile lighting. The Food The kitchen clearly knows its way around both land and sea. I ordered the Swordfish, and it was a standout. Swordfish can often lean toward being dry, but this was exceptionally tender and flavorful. It sat atop a silky creamy butternut squash purée that added a lovely autumnal sweetness, finished with a garnish of fresh micro greens for a bit of bright crunch. My friend opted for the Pizza, which is a great litmus test for any Italian spot. It arrived with a perfectly thin, crisp crust. They don’t drown their pies in tomato sauce here; instead, they let the high-quality ingredients speak for themselves. It’s light, refined, and won't leave you feeling weighed down. The Experience • Service: The staff was both attentive and genuinely kind, keeping the pace of the meal moving without making us feel rushed. • Facilities: It sounds minor until you need one, but the restroom situation is great. There are three bathrooms total, and the one I used was spotless—a rarity for busy city spots. • Value: For the South End, where dinner checks can quickly spiral, the prices at Posto felt very reasonable for the quality of the execution.

We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. We started with sirloin carpachio and arugala salad, followed by ribeye steak and mushroom pasta. The ribeye was very tasty, but was cooked a little more than medium rare like we requested. Tiramisu was a little too sweet for my taste. Overall a great meal.

We had an amazing time. Our server Ada was delightful! Her service was great! The food was delicious. Juan was very good as well.
