I discovered this restaurant through the Michelin Guide’s **Bib Gourmand** section, and it absolutely lived up to the recognition. Dining solo, I underestimated just how generous the portions were, so I kept it simple with an iced tea and the **Polvo à Lagareiro** (Portuguese baked octopus with potatoes). Even with such a small order, the experience was outstanding. The octopus was perfectly tender, full of flavor, and beautifully paired with the potatoes—comforting, authentic, and clearly made with care. Sometimes all it takes is one great dish to confirm you’ve found a special place, and this was definitely one of those moments. Truly worth the visit.
We had a light lunch and the clams and cod fish were nice. The white wine onions & garlic sauce clams were outstanding. Dipped the bread with the sauce and is heavenly. Highly recommended. We were lucky on a Sat lunch time and were seated immediately despite no reservations.
The service team led by Alan was very accommodating. It was our first and we will be definitely back for more. The squid vinegar was perfect together with the cod fish croquettes. Beef steak with homemade fried chips was special and delicious. Seafood fried rice was not to expectation, it could be more flavourful and I found it rather bland. Overall, it was a great experience for us. Not to be miss when you’re in Macau.
We were visiting Taipa and decided to try Restaurante Litoral Taipa. The friendly host quickly seated us and gave us a menu. We ordered from their best sellers menu. We ordered lemon tea, a large macau beer, clams in cream sauce and stuffed large shrimp.
Our clams came first. The sauce was yummy and the clams fresh. The stuffed prawns were good but the garlic tasted like jarred garlic. It did not taste fresh. The shrimp was fresh. The drinks were good.
One other complaint is that we were given our food before our drinks which is not what I expected from a Michelin Bib restaurant.
Overall it was worth visiting this restaurant.
We reached there past lunch hour, there was no queue which was good since we were hungry after passing very long Q customs lol
Very nice atmosphere, staffs greeted us with friendly manners.. asked for recommendations and he pointed out the seafood rice which was our favourite. Plate of clams was another one worth to try.
Cos fish cake served hot and good..
Overall good experiences and not over priced
Try when you go Macau 👍🏻
