Came for the cheesesteaks, ended up coming back two days later to try the rest of the menu. This was hands down the most incredible food experience I had in Philly yet. I went to Philly for the first time for 4 days and wanted to try legit cheesesteaks. I had amazing cheesesteaks around town. But one of my favorite cheesesteak stops was Sahbyy Food at the new Gathering Food Hall off 30th and Market street next to Drexel University. It was voted best Cheesesteak of 2024 in the Philadelphia Magazine, so I wanted to check it out. I really enjoyed the cheesesteaks here, it was like a completely different world of flavors than most cheesesteaks. You have to eat them fresh to really get the maximum experience. The aroma from the lemon grass beef, chili chips, and cheese really hit your nose when it arrives, but the magic is when you take your first bite. It has layers of flavors from the savory marinaded lemon grass meat, to the crunchy tease by the chili chips, and the comforting cheese and tangy combo of the pickled veggies. Every bite left me jumping through a satisfying melody of flavors. But I must warn you, if you only try the cheesesteaks, you will leave happy but will be missing out! The other food here is so good, I ended up having to go back the to get more and ended up trying almost the entire menu. Apart from the Cheesesteaks, the top three items on the menu I still dream of every week is: - Garlic Fried Rice and Sweet Chili Garlic double-fried chicken wings combo ($12) - Coconut cream infused Cambodian Bolognese pasta ($18) - Double patty Kah Kho Cambodian Beef stew and Mozzarella burger ($15) The double-fried wings, veggie fried rice, and pasta are each an explosion of flavor. Every bite is so satisfying, and if you have to take food to go, these three are easy to reheat and enjoy to its fullest. Also the wings are not small, so if you order the 6 piece, be ready for a lot of food. The burger is not a normal burger. They stew and prepare the meat so its holds a lot of juicy flavor and develops a texture more like a breakfast sausage patty. Having two of these patties in a toasted bun with mozzarella and the Cambodian style sauce, amplifies the umami flavor. The cheese fries and hotdogs go well together, and the hotdogs are thick and meaty. If you are drinking from the bar, the Cambodian chili cheese fries, Chili hotdog, and Honey glaze or Sweet Chili wings go very well. The bar had a citrus beer that I really enjoyed with them. Overall, most foods in this food hall are not the cheapest options in town, but they make up for it with unforgettable flavors.

I ordered the burger and my friend got the cheesesteak. Everything was fresh and so flavorful! And the people who work there are so friendly. I can’t wait to go back and try the wings :) (shout out JL Jupiter for recommending this place on his channel🙌)

Been here several times, love the food and customer service was great! No complaints at all. I tried everything that was on the menu.

As someone who is half Cambodian, seeing traditional Khmer flavors blended with familiar favorites is such an amazing and delicious way to introduce more people to the cuisine. From the Philly cheesesteak to the wings to the spaghetti, everything was incredible! Can’t wait to go back for more!!
