We just came back from our stay July 3-5. It was our 2-year anniversary, and we absolutely loved the setting (both 7 Acre and Paoli), history, restaurants, and vibe. Within 15 minutes of arriving, we were at the creamery for soft serve. Then we had a couple of beers while sitting with our feet in the Sugar River. Perfect start. Our room (Swiss Room) was comfortable and clean, and we got a mini-tour when we checked in about its history and original features. The HVAC was pretty loud, so we appreciated the white noise machine in the room. The only thing I'd suggest is to have more hanging hooks throughout the room for drying towels, keeping stuff organized, etc. Also, hooray for solid hinged bathroom doors -- nobody wants those sliding "barn doors" for bathrooms. Nobody.
We dined at Little Cloud for breakfasts and dinners on both days of our stay, and the only disappointment was Petite Nuage was unavailable. Highlights included Butter Lover, Brick Sticks, the short rib, schnitzel, strawberry sundae, and breakfast biscuits -- the best restaurant biscuits I've ever had. FOH was friendly and stayed on top of things, and we could see through the open kitchen how hard everyone was working. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and made us feel welcome.
We walked around Paoli and picked up art and jewelry from local artists, and enjoyed live music at the Mill on the 4th. We'll definitely return.
