Sonny'S BBQ (Located On Dick Wilson Boulevard, Chef Is Pitmaster Chris, Not Dick Wilson)

On Trial: Sonny’s BBQ Food: Food was fresh with great flavor and seasoning, noticeably better than other Sonny’s locations. Service: Shoutout to server Casey R for making the meal an ease. Quick, attentive, and on point. Atmosphere: Clean and your typical Sonny’s BBQ setup. The Verdict: A solid visit that stands above the average Sonny’s thanks to better execution and strong service.

We ordered the family meal (2 actually) on door dash for pick up. The meal came with ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and a whole chicken. Also, 3 sides,corn bread and 4 drinks all for about $50!! Everything was delicious. The ribs were the best! We will definitely order this again. It was a much better deal than Mission BBQ family meal.

Ordered the brisket. Came out as microwaved jerky. This location is hit or miss - mostly miss. Update: Emailed the company at their request. Have yet to receive a response. We have since learned there are a ton of options for great BBQ in the Tallahassee area. Summers Smokehouse and Smokin’ Lo’s BBQ will be our go-to from now on.

I tried the salad this time. I didn't even know they had a salad, but it was so much I couldn't eat half. It was also delicious but you can't go to wrong with a salad. We did have an excellent server, Mary, who stayed late at work just to handle the party. She was really awesome. She kept everything coming like we were in the restaurant by ourselves. It was an enjoyable experience. Of course I shall return and you should pay them a visit as well. OLD POST: The food is okay for me , but the family loves it here. All I can really eat is a salad, but the food definitely looks good. I think we had the best waitress, though. I think her name was LaToya. Excellent service with a smile. I did order the Loaded Tater Tots. They were very disappointing cause they weren't loaded at all. They didn't look anything like the menu. Oh well, maybe next time. 🫥🙂‍↕️👀
