Sonny'S BBQ (Located On Dick Wilson Boulevard, Chef Is Pitmaster Chris, Not Dick Wilson)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sonny’s BBQ in Tallahassee is hands down one of my favorite places to eat whenever I come home to visit my parents! It has become one of those places I genuinely look forward to visiting because the experience is consistently great—from the food to the service to the convenience. We typically order our food to go, and the service is always friendly, welcoming, and efficient. This time, I decided to place my order through the app before arriving, and I absolutely loved how easy and convenient the entire process was. My order was ready as soon as I arrived, everything was prepared correctly, and I was able to pick it up and be on my way without a long wait. I ordered the Family Feast with three meats and four sides, along with a mixture of the cornbread and garlic bread, and everything was absolutely delicious! The portions were generous, the meal was filling, and there was plenty of food for the family to enjoy. The meats were flavorful, the sides were delicious, and of course, the bread completed the meal perfectly. It was one of those meals where everyone is full and happy afterward! I also really appreciate the atmosphere at this location. Every time I visit, it is clean, comfortable, and inviting. The staff is always pleasant, and the location is extremely convenient when I’m home visiting my family. Consistency means a lot to me when I’m choosing where to spend my money, and Sonny’s continues to deliver. Great food, great portions, friendly service, a clean restaurant, and an easy online ordering experience make this location a winner for me. Sonny’s BBQ will definitely continue to be one of my regular stops whenever I’m back home in Tallahassee. If you’re looking for good barbecue, generous portions, and a meal the whole family can enjoy, I highly recommend giving them a try. Five stars from me! ❤️

We ordered the family meal (2 actually) on door dash for pick up. The meal came with ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and a whole chicken. Also, 3 sides, corn bread and 4 drinks all for about $50!! Everything was delicious. The ribs were the best! We will definitely order this again. It was a much better deal than Mission BBQ family meal.

Ordered the brisket. Came out as microwaved jerky. This location is hit or miss - mostly miss. Update: Emailed the company at their request. Have yet to receive a response. We have since learned there are a ton of options for great BBQ in the Tallahassee area. Summers Smokehouse and Smokin’ Lo’s BBQ will be our go-to from now on.

Everything was very good. The only reason I gave a 4 for atmosphere is because it was so cold that it was actually uncomfortable. As I was walking in from getting a sweater out of my car there was another woman walking out to do the same. I said something to the manager when we were being seated, but she said she had to keep it this cold so the cooks could be a little cool as they only have one ac unit for the whole building.

I came here on Sunday with my son. Our waitress, Ezinne O. was so sweet and attentive. She greeted us, took out orders in a timely fashion and was on top of it with refills and great guest service! Our food was amazing as always and came out pretty fast. We will definitely keep coming to this location and request Ezinne again for her kind service!
