What came in for dinner and we did enjoy our time there. Though we had to wait for good 10-15 mins while they prepared the table for us. Better to make reservation or else you will have to wait 1-2 hours. Otherwise, everything else is good. The star was the meatball and ricotta. The sweet tangy, savory marinara sauce blends perfectly with the creamy ricotta cheese and garlic bread. The fusilli A La Vodka is also good as well. It's a good mixture of sweet and spicy with the long fusilli pasta which grab the sauce beautifully. We had a good experience there and will definetly come back for more
Let's start with the customer service exceptional I must say. The staff was friendly and outgoing explained the menu and some hidden gems not on the menu as well.
Now on to the atmosphere dined outside was pleasantly nice the weather was perfect and traffic noise wasn't too bad considering how close to the street we were. Music was mainly hip hop but that wasn't an issue as it wasn't overbearing. Seating as adequate and decently comfortable. Parking was non existent due to them adding more Seating outside for additional customers.
Now to the really good part the food.
The mozzarella sticks were just ok was expecting a bit more flavor from breading the cheese pull 10/10 flavor 5/10.
The egg plant parmesana was really good. Big portion Great flavor cooked really nice not too soft just about right 8/10
On to the Cheesy Garlic Bread. The chibada bread was nicely toasted and had a suprising cheese pull to it. Flavors were pretty good just wished it had a bit more of a garlic flavor but still overall a solid choice 7/10
The Milanesa sold choice as well. Simular breading as the mozzarella sticks which is ok nothing to write home about but the chicken its self was real nice. Dare I say it was Juicy and cooked to damn near perfection? Yes, yes it was again my only gripe was the breading but overall a solid 8.5/10
Now the star of the show was the Arabiatta a la Chitarra. Just delicious pasta was the right amount of aldintae definitely fresh the salinity was on point the sauce had a nice kick not too overwhelming I'd perfer it more to have more spice but to each their own but definitely the star of the show 9.5/10
Final note parking is abysmal try valet for 10 bucks or hopefully find street parking near by
Overall a solid 8/10 Good job Sunday Gravy
Reading through some of their best reviews, I’m genuinely confused as to why my partner and were treated the way we were.
I’ve had this place saved on my list for quite some time. A private chef I know recommended this place quite some time ago, I finally found time during my most recent LA trip to make it out here.
I got a reservation inside for 9:30pm. My partner and I arrived early around 9:10pm. The host let us know that tables are full but they’ll try to get us seated as soon as possible. We knew we were early for our reservation, so we understood if we had to wait. We waited outside and while I was visibly shivering, the host returns around 9:30 and asks us if they could set us up at a table outside instead. I politely said I’d like to sit inside if possible since my reservation was made for a table inside.
When we finally get seated inside, another staff member lets us know that dessert or wine is on them for the long wait. We appreciated this and thought the night was going to get better. We were completely wrong. We placed our order. After our appetizers/ starters arrived, we overheard the waiter naming the nights specials to the table next to us. This took us by surprise because no one mentioned any specials to us. This was very disappointing as we already placed our order and started to eat, felt genuinely horrible that we were being treated so poorly. On top of that, they didn’t refill our waters once. At the end of it all, our bill still had the dessert on it. We had to mention it to the staff, they apologized and took it off. Overall I’m so confused why a place like this fell so short on their service.
I had higher expectations for their food but unfortunately it all left much to be desired. I think the only thing I genuinely enjoyed was the Caesar salad and the bread pudding. I won’t come back here and I’m really sad to have been treated the way we were.
Came her for the 1st time with my chef sister in law. The space was well decorated which I loved. Our server Susi told us about the meal specials and kept checking on us. We ordered a bunch of different things along with the Lemon Tree white wine. Everyone was so nice and attentive and I really loved the fact that it was a mixed crowd of nationalities. Good food with good music. And lastly, Reservations are required.
This place is great. I love a menu that does have an overwhelming amount of options. Everything is on the with intention.
Wings 10/10 - will be dreaming about these wings until the next time I can have them, my god. So crispy and flavorful 🤌🏾
Ravu 9/10 - the braised beef really set it off
Arabiatta à la chitarra with added meatballs 8/10 - the meatballs came in a different sauce so will probably do the regular spagetti and meatballs next time. Still tasty though.
Cheesy garlic bread 9/10: chefs kiss … a must-have. Perfect for slurping the pasta sauce
Wine list was also well paired
