It's been ages since I been back here, but I am glad that we stopped by after dinner for a cocktail. It was a nice day and we were seated outside. The drinks were tasty as well as the side of fries.
As one of the few places in the city that stays open late, this has to be one of the best bars in town. Great drink list. The food is always good. Best bacon wrapped dates ever! And the atmosphere just has a wonderful intimate vibe. Plus, during flu season, their outdoor heaters are actually effective and make eating outside very pleasant.
Way over priced for Hawthorne. The host will hand you menus and tell you to pick a wooden picnic bench. Everything is an add-on. Cheese and tomato for your burger? Extra. The menu is pretentious. Staff was nice though.
been here twice. the first time was absolutely fantastic; a girlfriend and i sat at the bar and got a few drinks and some snacks. the most popular drink has its name for a reason, and the pop rocks that it comes with totally rule. their desserts are good too!
the second time we came in, that girlfriend and i brought our boyfriends and an extra friend too. they had no problem seating all of us, and pulled up an extra chair at one point with no friction. our server was very dry and funny, and we had a good time. great place to wet your whistle!
