Trattoria 13 Gobbi

Delicious food, amazing service, and great ambience! We ordered: - bruschetta - pear and pecorino salad - margherita pizza - meatballs - rigatoni bowl - veal - cheesecake - tiramisu - biscotti and sweet wine All the dishes were amazing! our favourites were the bruschetta (refreshing with a subtle seafood flavour that paired really well!), the rigatoni bowl (the cheese and sauce was delicious), the veal (super soft meat), and honestly any of the desserts (the biscotti and sweet wine was a unique treat for us, and the cheesecake was so delicious and light! the tiramisu was strong and flavorful). would definitely come here again, and would also come early or get a reservation! Great for both big groups, families, and dates.

Improvement required. Badly. We came after our son saw it on Tiktok.... And got disappointed. The place is nice, the atmosphere is pretty good, but the food, well..... Disappointing. Bread was not even prepared correctly. Paste was seriously under cooked, And to sum up, after paying the bill, the waiter specifically mentioned that his service was not included. 1st time we hear that in Italy.

Let me start by saying there is nothing wrong with Trattoria 12 Gobbi. Also the staff was excellent and very attentive. The atmosphere is very cozy and warm. However, I think they have tried too hard to Americanize the experience, and for me that was a disappointment. I like to try and order in Italian. The waiters help me correct my Italian. I dont need the menu in English, I'm in Florence not New York City. So many Americans there. There was the sorority table, Karen and her husband next to us (he was not allowed the talk), the family of four with two teen age daughters, I felt bad for the dad. If you want feel at home and comfortable in Florence, by all means go here. I was looking for a more authentic experience and this was not it. Again, what they have created works, because it was full.

I’m hopping everyone may see my review and you can understand what they do , it’s very horrible. First of all they are basically stealing money from customers. I’ll prove it . Me and my girlfriend went that place July 11th for dinner and we order bunch of items and also we ordered Bistecca alla Fiorentina , we just want to try their traditional food . They served that food properly but us everyone know t-bone should have two part . One part is striploin ( New York steak ) the other part is fillet mignon ( tenderloin ) . This is how supposed to be like , but unfortunately they are serving striploin and sirloin , yes you didn’t read that wrong they are serving sirloin instead of tenderloin which is very different and very cheaper than tenderloin . This is stealing . They are charging €75 for that food which is fine but they don’t serve you tenderloin. I spend my 20 years for industry I’m a chef and I also understand as like those people . You can serve and charge anything you want . I can’t say anything about it . But you can not lie , you can not steal from your customers. This restaurant such a scam . Please stay away from that place . This is very disgusting.

Amazing experience from start to finish. The service was warm, attentive, and thoughtful—we felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after the entire evening. The pacing of the courses was flawless and everything arrived at just the right moment. The wild boar and rigatoni were outstanding—deeply flavorful, perfectly cooked, and beautifully balanced. We finished with the cheesecake and tiramisu, which were some of the best I’ve ever had: incredibly light, airy, and delicately sweet. I would come back for the desserts alone. Highly recommend!
