When a place has a soul, it comes in the form of this trattoria. So many details and life everywhere! An owner (Giuliana) awaits you, along with many dedicated waiters and waitresses that resolve everything immediately. I felt like at home, but three times better! The pasta is great, domestic, and I would recommend you to try polenta with salami and truffle sauce, yummy! I love the fact that the salads are buffet-style, so you enjoy both the tastes and the diversity of colours. The food is to be enjoyed, the atmosphere of a place to be felt and taken home as sweet memories. We visited the place two days in a row and on the second eve, there was even some live music. Definitely, we will come back again!
We had a great experience at this typical restaurant in Bergamo. The food was excellent. We ordered the menu of the day, and for appetizers we had onion and potato soup and pasta with chickpeas — both were absolutely delicious.
For the main course we tried two different dishes, one fish and one meat dish (I unfortunately don’t remember the exact names), and they were both very tasty as well.
The owner is very kind and friendly — you notice it immediately and it makes the experience even more pleasant. The decoration is a bit unusual, but in a charming and interesting way.
I definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to try authentic Bergamasque food.
An absolutely unique place, you feel like you're at an Italian feast. It's crowded and loud inside, you sit close to other guests, and the atmosphere is fantastic. For €25, you can choose from two delicious dishes, a dessert, and you also get a bottle of water, a jug of wine (delicate with a floral aroma), and access to the salad bar (with absolutely fantastic quality ingredients). It felt like an authentic Italian atmosphere. I recommend it to everyone!
Last night we decided to have dinner at Trattoria Da Giuliana, and honestly, we didn’t know what to expect. But it’s clear that we were extremely happy to have experienced this fantastic place at least once.
As for the food, we were very satisfied. The atmosphere and the way the place is decorated show a lot of history behind this trattoria.
You can really feel its identity. Seeing the staff happy and positive, even while they were busy, makes this place feel like a true icon in Bergamo.
Highly recommended ✨ 🇫🇮
Outstanding €25 set menu value with an abundant, free-flowing salad bar, appetizer, main, and dessert. The pistachio ice cream is a must-try, though avoid the truffle. Tiny tables despite booking and a cryptic dialect menu require navigating very busy service, but the sheer volume of food makes it great for sharing.
