Best Times to Visit

Congratulations to Virtus on their well-deserved 2 Michelin stars and honestly, we went in with zero expectations. Not because we doubted them, but because two-star dining can sometimes feel like it’s speaking a culinary language your palate just doesn’t quite connect with. Virtus, however, was a pleasant surprise.
Every dish ; the fish, the lobster, the meat, the desserts felt approachable and genuinely enjoyable, without sacrificing sophistication. The herbs and seasonings used were familiar enough to feel comforting, yet elevated in a way that reminded you exactly where you are. Nothing felt alienating or overly avant-garde. It was fine dining that actually felt inviting.
The presentation was stunning & every plate looked like a work of art. And the service matched the food perfectly. Our server in particular was exceptionally warm, attentive, and had the softest, most calming presence the kind of hospitality that genuinely elevates the entire experience.
If you’ve ever been hesitant about Michelin-starred dining because it feels too “out there,” Virtus might just be the perfect place to start. Highly recommended!
We thank you yet again for hosting us at VIRTUS. As you know, this is our third visit to VIRTUS and once again we were thoroughly impressed. We cannot imagine a visit to Paris without a meal at VIRTUS and we are so pleased to see your evolution. We arrived soon after you had achieved your first Michelin star and can clearly see your current attempts at distinction to garner another star and applaud you for it. The wine pairings are the best they have been, and the small touches seem to be making an impact as well. Was wondering if having a pastry chef would help move things more in your favor as their expertise could provide just the nudge that your experience requires to offer the distinction that Michelin demands.
Anyway, we were very happy and look forward to our return to Paris and our next meal at VIRTUS.
Cheers!!
Had one of the most incredible dinners I’ve had in Paris here. In a city that bursts at the seams with Michelin restaurants, it is hard to find places that stand out and go a step beyond the norm. Virtus does just that and does so by extending its excellence beyond the edible part of the dinner. I’d like to highlight the service, specially that of Iris; her and the whole team exuded a level of warmth and kindness that made it feel more like being welcomed into a family rather than a stuffy restaurant. The restaurant in general felt like that; the decoration and setting made it so the restaurant felt like a beautiful mid century home and not simply one of the finest restaurants in Paris. Now the food: had to save the best for last; every dish was impeccable in taste and plating/presentation. Often at tasting restaurants, I find that there’s a plate or two that are weak links because the meal lends itself to miss at some point with its length. I’ve only had two experiences where the tasting menu never weakened, and one of those was here. I’d like to specially highlight the pigeon though, which I believe to have been the finest of this sort of dish I’ve had in Paris. Once again, just blown away by everything here; will be coming back and singing their praises to anyone that ask me for recommendations for the city. In a city full of self proclaimed shiny diamonds, look for a hidden gem like Virtus and you’ll find the best meal you’ve had in Paris.
Well, a Michelin star well deserved!
Great service, attentive staff and amazing food. We spent a nice evening here celebrating a birthday during our trip to Paris and we enjoyed it immensely!
