Carla just opened last week, and the service is great. The people are super friendly, from the bouncers to the bartenders. It’s beyond me that people would come here and write a negative review for a place that just opened a week ago. Carla is nice, has a great atmosphere and friendly staff, and there’s live music, which you don’t get very often in DC, all in a very classy setting. The drinks are affordable, and the crowd is great. I love everything about it. I wish we had more places like this one in DC
Really happy to have this neighborhood spot! The vibes are great, especially the music. We came twice in four days because we enjoyed the atmosphere so much. Food is solid and the drinks are delicious.
I experienced terrible customer service here, the bartender was unable to provide us with service, he dismissed us and was extremely rude. do not go here. I am disappointed in the service we received here because the environment was gorgeous.
The guy that welcomed us to the bar and explained the dynamic was very kind and welcoming. Bartenders are very slow and rude, it might be due to working out the kinks of a new bar… but the lychee martini did not taste sweet, and tasted of pickles? My friend got the dirty martini and it was watered down, no olive flavour. Price was better than most places in D.C. but the low quality matches the low price.
Heard this place was opening by luck as some of them were moving things in when I passed by. Finally made it out on a whim and enjoyed my time there. The drinks are nicely priced for the area, staff are friendly, and the live DJ was playing good music to my taste. Highly recommend the band bang shrimp bao. Plan to be back soon!!
