Churchill'S

This place is seriously underrated. We were surprised at how empty it was—no wait, no reservation needed, and we were seated right away. The food? Easily some of the best we’ve had in Savannah. From the fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese balls, and fresh, juicy chicken strips to the shrimp and grits, burgers, mac and cheese, and chicken pot pie—everything was packed with flavor. The meatloaf was my overall favorite!! We practically ordered half the menu, shared it family-style, and loved every bite. Absolutely delicious!

We were sat right away, waitress was very friendly and got us our waters while we looked at the menu. We had the cottage pie and blackened snapper with cheddar grits. The food was hot and really good! My husband doesn't like grits, but ate every bite of them...we had bread pudding for dessert, and it was made well with good flavor. Could have used a little more caramel sauce. Price was reasonable, inside was nice. Booth seats need to be repaired. Would definitely come back!

My experience at churchill's was amazing, my first time there and I was greeted and had a warm welcome by the employees working there! The service was outstanding and the server Luke was very polite and always checking in on how I was doing! Excellent food also.. the food i had was the French toast with fruit and maple syrup, and the drink of choice was the alcoholic hot coco with whipped cream 10/10 recommend!!

This is a bit of a belated review, but last Sunday my bf and I popped in for brunch on an impulse. We both ordered the English breakfast, and it was the perfect kickstart to a drowsy Sunday morning after a late Saturday night out. 10/10 would recommend, even if like me, you don't generally approve of beans for breakfast. We sat at the stunningly beautiful wooden bar and were served by Chris. I specifically appreciated that he never seemed even the least bit annoyed by the many water refills I required to rehydrate my shriveled body from the night prior, and I never even had to ask for another round, not a single time. The service and food were so good in fact, we returned that evening for dinner. Imagine our delight when we sat down at a table in a side room, and Chris, our hydration hero, manifested immediately ready to take our order. The more I think about it, the more I suspect he could possibly be an escaped Bonaventure ghost haunting the Churchill bar, bestowing its patrons with his delightful presence, because I don't know how a person could work all day and still provide such spectacular service both times. We had another heaping portion of delicious food, this time the prime rib & French onion soup. Seriously, the portions of their entrees are shockingly generous. The cheese pull on the French onion soup was *chef's kiss.* Bread pudding isn't the most tantalizing name for a dessert, but please ignore your impulse to skip over it. You might be too full to eat it right then in there, but you can always shamelessly polish it off for breakfast the next day like I did. I highly recommend you check out Churchill's and Chris, its friendly ghost.
