Lunch at Lai Heen, located on the 51st floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Macau, was an exceptional experience. The restaurant offers stunning views of the city, with the space adorned in luxurious Chinese design elements, marble, and chandeliers, creating an atmosphere of grandeur. The service was impeccable, reflecting the restaurant's Michelin-starred status.
I had the Signature Lunch Experience, which showcased the finest Cantonese flavors. The steamed shrimp dumpling with abalone and Antarctic shrimp dumpling with codfish and scallop were light and delicate, while the double-boiled chicken soup with American ginseng and snow date was rich and comforting. The sautéed tiger prawn in homemade gravy was wonderfully smooth, and the seasonal vegetables in superior fish broth were both refreshing and flavorful. The braised e-fu noodles with semi-dried squid and wild mushrooms were a hearty dish, and dessert — a chilled pandan leaves milk pudding with honey — provided a soft, fragrant end to the meal.
Every dish was expertly crafted, showcasing the perfect balance of tradition and modern presentation. Lai Heen is a must-visit for those seeking refined Cantonese cuisine in a luxurious setting.
One of the best Cantonese restaurants I’ve ever been to. Incredibly attentive service, fantastic dishes. We celebrated my son’s birthday and they came up with a very nice surprise. The Peking duck is also amazing…
