I went to dinner with my boyfriend on Saturday the 28th, and we left absolutely thrilled with the whole experience. Starting with how beautiful and perfect the place was, I was never too hot or too cold. Even though we ate on a sofa, the distance between the table and the sofa was perfect. I felt right at home, only better decorated, hahaha. Zahira served us, always attentive to our questions and perfectly explaining each dish, from the whitefish nigiri appetizer to the two main courses (breaded pollock and the catch of the day, which was grouper). It was incredible how well-balanced the flavors and ingredients were; I never felt the need to adjust anything, not even the salad that came with the breaded pollock. It was amazing how perfectly everything was balanced. For drinks, we went with the wine, Rutini Sauvignon Blanc. I didn't have the chance to try the cocktails; we're definitely team wine, hahaha. Finally, for dessert we ordered the reimagined Balcarce and the chocolate mousse. The Balcarce was boozy and delicious, but the mousse had that perfect combination of sweet and savory with a hint of citrus that I absolutely loved! It was truly an incredible experience: dinner with live piano music in the background, top-notch service, and dishes that clearly showed the effort of a skilled chef without being pretentious. My congratulations! 👏

The experience was excellent. The first stop was the bar, where we sampled different types of sushi prepared right before our eyes by Chef Luciano. A seafood menu with diverse and unique flavors. Delicious and beautifully presented, accompanied by a lovely sparkling wine (4 Almas Pinot Rosé). We received excellent service from Zahira in a sophisticated setting, with live music performed by a talented pianist. Excellent and highly recommended for those who love seafood and nighttime ocean views!

The best thing about the experience at Mar is the location and, to some extent, the service. All the waiters are very friendly, but they don't leave the bottle on the table, so you're at their mercy, and in my case, they waited 50 minutes to refill my glass. Aside from that, the temakis were delicious! The trout roll was good too. We couldn't finish the nigiri because none of the flavors appealed to us, not to mention they were bland; the squid nigiri, in particular, was cold and very difficult to eat. I would like them to add some trout nigiri since it's an ingredient they have available and could do something different with. Perhaps a trout nigiri with the truffle oil they use on the scallop temaki would be fantastic.

Excellent in every aspect, from the attentive staff who greeted us and clearly explained each dish to the impeccable ambiance and luxurious silverware. The quality of every dish served was, as advertised, Haute Cuisine—congratulations to the chef. A truly enjoyable place.
