Saisons Restaurant is a gourmet, fine dining establishment located within the historic Château du Vivier in Écully, west of Lyon. It passionately cultivates the French art of living, offering a sophisticated culinary experience. The restaurant is notably associated with a culinary training school, with students often participating in the service. It features a beautiful interior ambiance, ideal for special occasions.
Customers generally praise the exceptional food, magnificent wine selection, and outstanding service, often describing their visit as a memorable 'experience'. Many highlight the beautiful setting within the castle. While the staff, often students from a culinary school, are frequently commended for their kindness and attentiveness, some reviewers expressed surprise at this given the price point. A few noted that some main dishes had a similar flavor profile (e.g., vinegar), and the balcony view was less appealing than the interior.
Saisons Restaurant operates as part of a culinary training school, where students gain practical experience in service. The restaurant offers multi-course tasting menus, typically 5 or 9 courses, accompanied by wine pairings. There is also a school shop where visitors can purchase souvenirs.
The restaurant is highly recommended for both lunch and dinner, particularly for special occasions due to its fine dining experience and elegant ambiance.
