Sushisho Saito offers an intimate, high-end Edomae sushi experience in Minato-City, Tokyo. Known for its 'neo-standard' approach, the restaurant blends traditional techniques with unique flavor combinations and meticulous preparation. Reservations are extremely difficult to secure due to its reputation and limited seating.
Customers consistently praise the exceptional quality of the sushi, highlighting its unique tastes and techniques, such as the jalapeño and red snapper pairing. The atmosphere is described as friendly and the service attentive. Many find the omakase course incredibly satisfying, often ordering extra dishes. Securing a reservation is noted as a significant challenge, and some repeat guests mention that the head chef (taisho) may not always serve them directly.
Sushisho Saito operates at a very high price point, with dinner courses ranging from ¥65,000 to ¥71,000. While the specific 'Sushisho Saito' at this location is highly regarded, the broader 'Saito' brand, particularly 'Sushi Saito' in Roppongi, has received international acclaim, including being recognized as an 'Asia's 50 Best regular' and one of the 'world's best sushi restaurants' by 50 Best Discovery.
The restaurant offers two dinner sittings, typically at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM. A later reservation (e.g., 8:30 PM) might allow for a more extended and relaxed dining experience. The restaurant is closed on Mondays.
