Thai Duck Restaurant

Best Best Best Absolutely the best Thai food you can have on the Phi Phi island. Even the vegetarian dishes with tofu are very delicious. So if you have a vegetarian person in your group, you can surely eat here. Must try are Panang Curry, Khoa Soi Kai, Tom Yum Shrimp.

We were quite disappointed with our meal! It was delicious food but… we asked for everything we ordered to be spicy. Not a single thing had a hint of spice at all. We ordered the duck noodles in soup, pad kra pao with chicken, Khao soi noodles with chicken, fried garlic shrimp and cabbage fried in oyster sauce. I wasn’t expecting the duck noodles or cabbage to be spicy but, we thought the Khao soi or pad kra pao would be! We left feeling quite sad. We wanted to have some authentic Thai food but… it was missing the heat. We realized that on the receipt, the server wrote (spicy) beside the pad kra pao, but again, there wasn’t even a hint of heat. It’s a nice space and in a cool area, good service, but the food didn’t match our expectations whatsoever. The best things we tried were the duck noodles and the fried cabbage. We had an amazing meal at the place across (called Pa-Noi Thai) which I would visit again in a heartbeat! Unfortunately, I won’t be going back to “Thai Duck”…

Amazing food! The red duck curry was the best I’ve had in Thailand—absolutely delicious. We also ordered the pineapple fried rice served in a pineapple, and it was so good. Lots of flavour, very authentic. Highly recommend and will definitely come back! Great pricing as well!
