Fantastic meal at Madison de Paris in Ao Nang. It genuinely felt like a little taste of France in Krabi.
We started with the scallops with truffle and they were outstanding - rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The duck was excellent, and the catch of the day was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. Everything felt thoughtful and high quality without being pretentious.
The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, service was great, and the prices were very reasonable for the level of food you’re getting.
One small note: they charge a 5% credit card fee instead of the more common 3%, but considering the quality of the meal and how fair the prices are overall, it still felt well worth it.
Hands down, my favorite meal in all of Ao Nang. I was getting tired of the sweetness from Thai food. This restaurant deserves all the accolades. The location is kind of hidden in the back, but follow the signs. It is so cozy. Music, art, and decor is really nice. I’m not French but I have been to France and this is an unexpectedly good find in Thailand, and would 100% recommend to my friends and would come back. The staff is so friendly, explains the menu, the chef came out to greet people as well. The falafel salad is light, flavorful, and innovative. I love how French the food is, in the way that it is beautifully prepared and so much thought behind each entre.
We had the flan cookie, it was definitely a shareable portion. Thought I was too full to eat half but I did. They make it seasonally, get it. The cookie crust and lightly sweet flan go so well together.
We also ordered:
Filet De Boeut Rossini Sauce Morille with side of gratin dauphinois (huge side serving, creamy but not too heavy or salad)
Beef Bourguignon (great with a side of baguette)
Falafel Salad (my favorite item because it was so unexpected).
I am sad I am leaving tomorrow, would eat here again. 🥲
Absolutely delicious beef bourguignon! I ordered this dish after reading reviews. It was my first time, and I was absolutely amazed. The meat was incredibly tender, with a mild beef flavor. The vegetables were well-cooked and had a thick texture.
The chef personally came to the table and explained that it takes three days to prepare this perfect dish. And let me tell you, it’s absolutely worth it. I paired it with red wine, and there were no words. The croissant was buttery and flavorful.
We were randomly craving French cuisine while in Krabi and stumbled upon this place through Google — decided to give it a try, and honestly, it was well worth it. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully done. What made the experience even better was the service — we were greeted right away by a friendly French staff member who noticed us as we walked in. Simple, sincere hospitality paired with delicious food… a great find!
Definitely a must visit place on your visit to Krabi town. This small restaurant has so much soul and is perfect for brunch, lunch or dinner. The food is made with care and tastes delicious. Especially the croissants which are handmade and served hot.
The owners are friendly and welcoming and the staff are very good at what they do. C’est magnique!
