The Greenhouse Restaurant

Really cool atmosphere, our personal service, a young brunette, was also really attentive and friendly. The duck leg was good. But thats it. One meal was too salty, the chicken was cooked dry and none of us got satisfied with the portions, even though we all had starters. Drinks came wrong twice, ordered white peach frizz, which we had before and had a good peach taste, first got a g&t, then after noting that to staff i was served some kind of lemonade gin, after noting that i again got the wrong drink i had the service staff come to me to assure in a not friendly way there was peach in it (there was no peach). Old fashioned was bad, wine glass and some spoons were also dirty, which i expect to be cleaned for a mid fine dining restaurant. Really disappointing experience.

Best fish and chips I've ever had (and I've had alot). Perfect fish. Crispy batter throughout and perfect fish no bones at all. Spot on chips which were crispy on the outside and fluffy potato on the inside. Cant fault that meal at all! Waiter fella was really nice as well. Good ambience for a late meal (8.45). Would deff go back for this meal alone!

Excellent service at this restaurant. I enjoyed the main dish, which was a roasted salmon dish. I recommend this restaurant if you visit Kendal.😁

The bar looks great, but the service doesn’t live up to it. The staff could use some training in customer service, and honestly, the drinks are way too pricey for how they’re served. The food was pretty good on the other hand.
