Customer Perception

Customer perception is mixed but generally positive regarding the food quality and service. Many praise the friendly and accommodating staff, with special mention of Mr. Claudio Coppola. Dishes like fish, deer, green gazpacho, trout ceviche, pike-perch, and beef tartare are often highlighted as delicious and well-prepared. However, some reviews note inconsistencies, such as an underwhelming Caesar salad, overly salty sauces, bland fish, or unbalanced desserts. Some customers felt the overall experience, including lack of amuse-bouche or mignardises, and occasional slow service, did not fully align with expectations for a Michelin-starred establishment, especially given the price point. The atmosphere is generally considered wonderful, though some found it chaotic with children.

Very nicely decorated and gives a pleasant atmosphere with availability outdoor option as well. The fish and the deer we had were both cooked perfectly. The servers were very friendly and accommodating.

We began with a type of Caesar salad that felt underwhelming for the price for a third of a plate of salad covered with cheese, though the green gazpacho and trout ceviche were beautifully presented and quite delicious. Our mains were a mixed bag: my wife’s trout was nicely prepared, but the brown sauce was way too salty, while my pike-perch on a purple St. Gallen potato base was quite good. The dessert, an alpine herb ice cream, didn’t stand out, and the atmosphere was a bit chaotic with children kicking around toys near the tables. Four staff members personally congratulated us, but nothing was offered or presented to suggest that we were celebrating a birthday. The waiters, however, were fantastic and helpful every step of the way. A notable highlight were the local wines and the “Verve Garden” mocktail, which was refreshing. That said, there were no amuse-bouche or mignardises—details you’d expect from a Michelin-star restaurant. This omission, along with some of the other missteps, made it feel like they might not be living up to their star rating. Overall, a mixed experience with some good service but too many disappointing gaps. If you’re looking for a true Michelin star restaurant experience, sadly, this is not the place. This experience discouraged us from visiting Sven‘s three star Michelin restaurant on the property the next day.

Good restaurant with a Michelin star, though I think it‘s not on the same level as other Michelin-starred restaurants. The food is delicious for the most part and the staff are professional. Still, the service is not as personalized or attentive as in other Michelin-starred restaurants. For instance, we had to wait a long time for the staff to take our order. We just sat there long after we had chosen what to eat. We also waited over 10 minutes for our check. The food is well-presented and mostly very delicious. The beef tartare was excellent. The meat was very tasty, though it was rather too cooked for a medium. The fish, although of good quality, was bland, definitely the weakest part of the meal. The Rhubarb dessert was ceratinly creative, but the sourness overpowered any other flavour the dish had, making it slightly unbalanced. Overall, this is definitely not a bad restaurant, but it lacks the refinement present in other restaurants of its class.

We visited this one michelin star restaurant on a Saturday evening. Here are the honest opinions of this restaurant. • The ambiance is nice with modern decor but the chairs are somehow uncomfortable and tablecloths would be nice for this price range. • We were welcomed by a host and then never saw him again throughout our whole service until we got our coats back. • We were served by two different personnel and they were rushing after every course they served. We couldn't even ask them any questions. • The food is not bad but it's not on the league of Michelin star. • We had a 5 course degustation menu and it was just okay. There is no wow factor. • For the price we paid, it's not worth it.
