Aksorn, led by Chef David Thompson, revives traditional Thai tastes and rare dishes inspired by mid-20th-century historical cookbooks. Located on the top floor of Central: The Original store, it offers a romantic ambiance with subtle lighting, an open kitchen, and an outdoor terrace. The focus is on well-executed, authentic Thai cuisine rather than overly elaborate fine dining.
Customers consistently praise Aksorn for its beautifully presented dishes, captivating flavor profiles, and authentic Thai taste, particularly highlighting Southern Thai influences. The ambiance is described as romantic, calm, tasteful, and artistic, with warm and attentive service. While generally highly positive, some guests found the Southern Thai dishes to be quite salty. The wine pairing is also noted as delicious and well-curated.
Aksorn features a rooftop bar, offering guests a unique setting to enjoy drinks. The restaurant's concept is deeply rooted in Thailand's culinary heritage, bringing forgotten recipes to modern diners.
The romantic ambiance and fine dining experience suggest that dinner is the ideal time to visit.
