A gem of a restaurant surrounded by tranquil water….leave the Excel and get your steps in, well worth the walk.
Ms Pervin and Chef Cyrus won me with Garam Masala Old Fashioned 🥃 and personable family service. It’s as if you walk into their hip, modern home and sit at the kitchen table. Unreal!
Tasting Tour….DO IT!!! Confession…. I am not a photographer but I am a global foodie!!!! Small bites of their most notable dishes. Thank you Michelin for the recommendation, elevated Indian…phenomenal!!!!
While the place is at a nice location with a view the food preparation was not fresh and authentic at all. The restaurant served frozen samosa and bread after the heating it up. Given the high price but and not freshly cooked food the overall experience was not great for vegetarians.

I took a chance and went looking for this place knowing and admiring the owners from TV. From outside the place looked welcoming and busy but not jammed for a Wednesday night. I was met by Mrs T. Who is both friendly and charming, no problem not booking and sat me at a window table with a view out across the water. Great menu and far from the traditional Indian variations we are all used to. After saying that though the dishes are very well explained and easy to gauge against those standard variations we are used to in regular Asian cuisine. Food was excellent and just obviously different knowing all was fully prepared in the kitchen to order. Home made everything from chutneys to accompany poppadoms through main courses to deserts, and all excellent! Cyrus was at the pass when I was leaving so I took the opportunity to speak, he was appreciative of the thanks and appeared friendly, he and his wife make a great team and make this place well worth a visit. I’ll definitely visit again.

Our first visit was November 2023 for my sister's Birthday. A firm favourite on our trips into this part of London since! Cyrus, Pervin and the team always greet us, welcome us. We were at Café Spice Namasté last Wednesday night after an event at the Excel. All around a great experience always. If anyone is considering visiting, we highly recommend this restaurant for its setting, staff and welcoming experience and above all the food which is always consistently excellent!.
